Arkansas has a tuition waiver for kids from contigious states.

It's one of the reasons we're seeing the influx from out of state kids.

You sure about this? I know oklahoma has no such thing at the UofA. I got instate because i'm indian. Couldn't find a legacy or adjoining state instate waiver anywhere when I applied.

Sounds like Devon Allen will pick us for his final official.

They did for awhile to boost enrollment but I think someone on here said that they may have stopped it.

I know when my wife came to Arkansas in '01 it only covered a certain distance into border states. Someone from St. Louis couldn't get the waiver but she was able to because she was from Springfield.

Yep, It's called the Tuition Advantage Program. It's lumped in with the international tuition waivers, have to keep a certain GPA etc etc.

Think Chaney and MacDonald, AND Bucknam can get Devon Allen back on board? Read where he favored us before the disaster of JLS.

Glad to know my alma mater would of fricked me if they got the chance. I almost had to pay full out of state tuition.

Punter Sam Irwin-Hill just called from Australia. We spent the first minute trying to understand what each other was saying but finally settled in after I got into a quieter room. From what I understand, Sam was offered by the previous staff and did 'commit' to Arkansas the other day. Problem is Arkansas has an entirely different staff now and evidently they weren't ready to take that commitment, but Sam is in contact with Arkansas and they're trying to set up an official visit for Jan. 18. Great guy to talk to and really, really wants this to work out at Arkansas, but we'll have to wait and see what the Hogs choose to do with him. No doubt he wants to play in the SEC, though. For now, just a very fluid situation and he's supposed to keep me updated as soon as he speaks to Arkansas' staff again. I have no idea what in the Sam Hill is going on here, to be honest.

Arkansas QB commitment Austin Allen of Fayetteville said he's had a good week of practice at the Semper Fi Al American bowl and is very impressed with the talent on the East squad. He and RB Alex Collins have hit it off and have gotten to know one another. Allen said he's done some recruiting of Collins but most of their discussions are non-recruiting.

Chongo Kondolo. Sounds like a wrestling name from back in the 70's.

"And in the Red Corner from Parts Unknown, Chongo Kondolo".

That's pretty good. I just tried it in my best announcer voice, and it was legit.
