Can't see why too many out of state guys would commit to us not knowing who the HC will be next year. shite will be crazy once we get our permanent HC though.

Almost guarantee once he comes in recruits will "decommit" or asked to leave and recruits we barely missed on due to the HC thing will flip to us

I was pretty surprised myself to see that 247 thinks we lead. I agree with Marty in that if I was an OOS guy that I would wait to see who we hired first.

Negative. That's how you end up playing in Memphis. If you've got a spot at a school you like, you take it. The only positions where coaching philosophy really make a huge impact are the offensive skill positions. (qb/rb/wr) Depending on the style of offense and how the RB/WR/TE split is on offensive plays directly impacts PT. On D most schools run a 4 man front, and then rotate LB/S/CB depending on scheme for that week's game.

I can see where waiting for the coach is really important, but there's no guarantees when it comes to coaches. Here today, gone tomorrow. So find a place you enjoy and feel at home with the guys and do your best in school and make college an awesome time that helps you out later in life. If you've got the talent for the NFL you'll get there as long as you put in the time and effort.

Christian Morgan to Florida State, for those who care... yet another casualty of the Petrino firing. At least I'm counting it as one, I'm pretty confident we would have gotten him otherwise.

Yep, we have time to flip him and I still think we can once he realizes he'll see 10 balls a year if he's lucky.

I think he's all about being an hour away from the Redneck Riveria.

What are the TE stats for Florida State for the past 5 years? lol

I really like Skinner and hope we get Hunter.

don't know about FSU, but at Arkansas

Gragg caught 41
Tate caught 7
Miles-Nash 1

49 were caught, a few more were thrown that way I'm sure that didn't get caught, maybe another 8 or 10.

ETA: took a gander at FSU receiving stats.

Nick O'Leary 12 catches
Will Tye 1 catch
Beau Reliford 7 catches

That's it, best as I could see, for tight ends at FSU.

Their leading TE caught 12 passes last year.

Second leading caught 7.

247 passes caught last year. 19 by TE

Fixed mine... Reliford was listed in the stats on ESPN, but wasn't listed in the roster, guess 'cause his number is 00? I was checking the roster to see who their TE's were.

But anyway, their total is a far cry from ours.
Hope he prefers to block anyway.

He said us hiring JLS actually hurt us. He didn't like the instability of will he/won't he be the head coach after this year.

If you read Morgan's comments after BP was fired and when JLS was hired you knew there was a lot of ground to be made up.

Saw that he said that.

He should have waited to see who we hire. What's he gonna do when some of the FS coaches leave? What if Jimbo gets eaten by a gator? Or crashes his motorcycle?

ETA: Thanks for the stats ya'll.

We know. He literally said we was going to commit to Arkansas. Then BP got fired.

We are just lol'ing at the BS FSU fed him.

I would be too. Those FSU numbers are pathetic especially when you factor in O'Leary was the #1 TE in his class.
