Yes, it was not his fault. When there's an unabated blitzer to the quarterback, the quarterback is taught to dump the pass to the check down. That was the safe thing to do and the correct play - football 101 stuff, but I understand most people don't know what's happening other than a big play happened one way or the other. It was a freak play, happens to everyone. Jones had significantly more yards than Joe Burrow had against that year's Auburn defense.

AU will be materially more motivated and energized for that game than our players. I could easily seeing us lose next Saturday’s game Iron Bowl 2002 style. Stupid Franchione losing at home to a much worse AU team on his way out the door.
