He might come if we throw all the money his way, but he’s probably waiting on FSU.

None of this is happening but if it does Byrne should go get Deion.

FSU won’t pay like we will

That’s why they want to kill the ACC.

Deion Sanders
to the people that downvoted, do you think Deion or Lane Kiffin has a better chance to win a NC?

Deion will outrecruit Lane all day.

Then let's clear the way for him to take the job. Norvell wouldn't be a bad hire.
I'd make Demeco Ryans say no first. He may have been canned in Houston by then.

I could see Cristobal coming. Yes he's at his alma mater, but he has a lot of respect for Bama and knows he could win championships here.

I think it's the lack of player development that's most concerning. The recruiting hasn't dropped off ranking wise. Evaluations? Maybe...but it'd be hard to miss on this many players at this many positions. So it's a development issue. Maybe we have recruiters as position coaches instead of real coaches. It started after 2020, but Bryce was talented enough to overcome a lot of team shortcomings, but not quite enough, hence no NC as a starting QB. Saban is the goat, but there is no doubt he's lost the fire, whether it's age, living off past success...who knows. But he puts up with more BS from the staff and players than he ever did in the past. That's undeniable.
There's a lack of development. There's a few things going on here. 1) He did move to recruiters over coaches after Kirby's initial recruiting success 2) His best assistants have become head coaches. The ones who didn't pan out as head coaches are now going to work for their old buddies instead of back to work for him 3) Just too much turnover with the assistants. Hard for players to develop with new coaches every year. Success leads to turnover with assistants, as does being as single-minded as Saban is.
Becoming soft. 1) It's been said a hundred times he got softer when he became a grandpa. Probably something to that. 2)He probably thinks (and it may be true) that he just can't hold the players as accountable as he did in the pre-NIL/free agency era.
He's said the reason he didn't enjoy NFL head coaching as much as he did being an NFL coordinator was the rise of free agency. Now that it's in the NCAA, he may go watch the ducks sooner.

With Greg Bryne it'll come out of left field like Brian Kelly to LSU.

Don’t make the Ray Perkins mistake again by having to have one of “the boys” come home. Go find the best football coach you can find that is a good fit and hire him, who cares if he’s ever met Nick Saban before or not.
