I don't have access to 247 subscription content anymore. Not asking for copy and paste. Just the gist of it.

That it didn't matter.

But I seen that somewhere other than that article.

I'm not sure why people think he expects to start as a true freshman.

They talked to Young about it and he was good with it.

Because if he's as good as advertised and because he's an EE and he runs an RPO offense in high school so it's not far fetched. In fact he's probably the presumed leader to some....

yeah. Some people (see the downvotes) act like the website owns the comments, but that's just kind of silly. In a day or so Young's comments will be talked about all over the Alabama boards. That article just was sent to my email over the last hour. BOL trying to get me to reup but that ain't happening.

“For me, it doesn’t really have any impact on my decision. I feel like Alabama is the best place for me, regardless, I’ll be in Tuscaloosa. I feel like there’s always an upside regardless of what happens. I think that if he were to come back I'd definitely try to use that opportunity to learn and take advantage of being in the same quarterback room. I’m definitely eager to get back to work. I look forward to being able to get better and contributing and doing whatever I can to help my team at the next level.”

Finding a true freshman that can dominate is rare. Finding one that is in Tua's class is even more ridiculous. Alabama just needs some hard-working, mature guys that love to compete at the position. Hopefully, we have 3 now and this latest recruit is just as willing. Otherwise, we'll be leading the nation in drama the next few seasons.

I am confident this guy will be a really good qb but I don't really expect him or any other SEC qb to be Tua Tagovailoa elite, but if he is then I will be a very happy fan.

After an unprecedented dynasty since 2009, there will eventually be the inevitable drama as it is nearly impossible to continue at this rate. Hope we're not there yet. This team lost 2 games by 8 points, and I've never seen a team so impacted by injuries. I expect we'll win the SEC again next year and be in the playoffs.

Probably because we had a qb do it 3 years ago.

Only because our upperclassmen were terrible. Mac Jones isnt terrible, in fact, he is quite good imo. Taulia is still very raw but probably better than Blake Barnett and Cooper Bateman. Bryce Young is a stud and I hope he is just half the quarterback that Tua is but his road to starting quarterback is gonna be a bit harder than the road a freshman Jalen Hurts took.

Good points. I'm sure it will still be an open battle though.
