We are better than this shite man. We have won a National Title in every decade but the 80s. We have had 5 different Coaches win National Titles. We have had 1 bad stretch in our entire history from 97-07 when we were on Probation back to back and had crippling sanctions. Kalen DeBoer has none of those sanctions and is sucking.
Hell even with crippling sanctions Dubose won an SEC championship, Franchione won 10 games and would have played for an SEC title if we weren’t ineligible, and Shula had us 9-0 #3 in the country and won 10 games. All those guys had massive scholarship reductions…Kalen DeBoer doesn’t have to deal with any of that.
Quite honestly he is possibly the worst Head football Coach in Alabama history.
Worst coach is between him and Ears Whitworth.
Fire Him.

He’s not from this part of the country. He doesn’t understand how serious college football is here. And he doesn’t care about that either because he has it made with his ridiculous contract buyout.

That picture really is a reflection of the program right now. Not that that in particular falls on CKD.
But the attention to detail is just not there. I remember a couple of weeks ago Wommack saying they had to bring a lot to the game plan because of Gus and the unknowns with FSU. Yet there was no adjustment. At all.
I said in the game thread after we pulled within one score that Gus would get aggressive again and we wouldn’t be able to stop it. The only reason we made any stops was because Gus went away from what worked.
I hope they turn it around, but I have 0 confidence in this staff

Yeah. The signs were there last year. He doesn’t really command a room or say anything. He says a bunch of words that don’t mean anything. It’s word salad and basic coach speak. When Saban spoke, everyone listened and he was always making a point. DeBoer sounds like me whenever I’m asked a question at my job that I don’t know the answer to and have to fake my way through.
It’s not really his fault. I’m sure he’s a nice guy. He seems like a good man. He just did decent at Fresno, won with another guys players in Washington and it landed him at a premier program that he isn’t equipped for. Can’t fault him for accepting the job and thinking he could do it. And I do think he thought he’d be successful and I think he’s trying. But he can’t. And unfortunately we have about 70 million dollars owed to him. And we don’t have any billionaire boosters and in the NiL era you can’t afford to pay players and pay coach buyouts.
People think of Alabama as an elite program but we’re low-key booster poor.
