NCAA ALL-AMERICAN MORGAN SCOTT SUFFERS TORN LABRUM, WILL END COLLEGE CAREER EARLY

Alabama fifth-year Morgan Scott, a three-time individual first-team All-American and NCAA relay champion, has suffered a torn labrum and is out for the remainder of the 2022-23 season, ending her college career two months early.

“I will not be finishing the season with Alabama,” Scott told SwimSwam. “I have a torn labrum and that’s something I need to take care of. I have had a wonderful time swimming for Alabama and I will always support them.”

ALL-AMERICAN CORA DUPRÉ WON’T FINISH THE SEASON WITH ALABAMA SWIM TEAM

Alabama All-American swimmer Cora Dupré says that she won’t finish the season with the Crimson Tide, making her the second high-profile member of the women’s team to confirm that news.

“I decided not to finish the year with Alabama because I have been struggling with my health, and I feel that I need to take a while to focus on my health,” Dupré told SwimSwam

Alabama Track and Field Opens 2023 at Commodore Challenge in Nashville

The Alabama track and field teams open the new year with a two-day stint at the Commodore Challenge in Nashville, Tenn. 

The Crimson Tide opens competition Friday and Saturday inside the David Williams II Recreation and Wellness Center with the men's pole vault opening things at 3 p.m. Friday afternoon. 

The Meet
* Alabama gets things started at 3 p.m. on Friday (pole vault) and at 11 a.m. on Saturday (shot put)
* The women are traveling 15 to Nashville, while the men's travel list is 33 strong
* The meet will be streamed live on both Friday and Saturday
* In addition to host Vanderbilt, Alabama will face Auburn, Austin Peay, Belmont, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Lipscomb, Middle Tennessee, Murray State, South Florida, Tennessee Tech, Western Kentucky and William Carey

Alabama Swimming and Diving Concludes Day One of Tri-Meet

Alabama swimming and diving returned to action at the Alabama Aquatic Center on Friday, concluding day one of a two-day tri-meet against Texas and Ohio State.

After the first day of events, No. 14 Alabama trails both No. 2 Texas, 109.00-77.00, and No. 13 Ohio State, 124.00-62.00. On the women's side, ­No. 2 Texas leads the head-to-head competition against the No. 6 Crimson Tide, 114.50-71.50, while No. 5 Ohio State leads UA, 115-71.

* Alabama returns to action for day two against Texas and Ohio State on Saturday
* Diving events will begin at 9 a.m. CT and swimming will start at 10:30 a.m. at the Alabama Aquatic Center
* The Crimson Tide will also celebrate Senior Day with the festivities kicking off at 10:30 a.m.

Alabama Track and Field Posts 20 Top-10 Finishes on Day One of the Commodore Challenge

The Crimson Tide picked up a trio of wins on the first day of competition in 2023

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Alabama track and field got 2023 started with day one of the Commodore Challenge in Nashville, Tenn., Friday on the Vanderbilt campus.

The Crimson Tide tallied 20 top-10 finishes across nine different events, including individual wins coming from Chris Robinson (600 meters), Gavin Saacke (5,000 meters) and Leander Forbes (300 meters). Alabama closes out competition in Nashville on Saturday.

Alabama Closes Tri-Meet Against Texas and Ohio State, Celebrates Senior Day

The two-day meet was the last at home for the Crimson Tide this season as UA heads to Auburn for a dual meet on Friday

Alabama swimming and diving closed out its two-day tri-meet against Texas and Ohio State on Saturday at the Alabama Aquatic Center. The Crimson Tide honored 11 seniors and six graduate students in the final home competition of the 2022-23 season.

The No. 6-ranked Alabama women fell to both No. 2 Texas, 231.50-139.50, and No. 5 Ohio State, 220-133. The No. 14-ranked Alabama men were defeated by No. 2 Texas, 220.50-132.50, and No. 13 Ohio State, 230-123.

The Crimson Tide went 1-2-3 in the men’s 3,000 meters and 1-2 in the women’s 60 meters and the men’s 4x400-meter relay

Alabama Men’s Tennis Comes Out on Top Over Samford and Mercer to Open Dual Match Season

The Crimson Tide defeated Samford 7-0, before topping Mercer 6-1 on the opening day

Alabama Women’s Tennis Commence the 2023 Season at Home on Sunday

The Alabama women's tennis team opens the dual match season Sunday, hosting Navy at the Roberta Alison Baumgardner Tennis Facility. The Crimson Tide will face the Midshipmen for the first time in program history at 9 a.m. CT.

Alabama Adds Gemelli, Smith to Roster

Alabama head soccer coach Wes Hart announced the addition of Itala Gemelli and Isabel "Izzy" Smith on Tuesday. Gemelli will join the Crimson Tide from the University of Dayton, while Smith will transfer to Alabama from Indiana.
