If Oats is the one contacting him, we must actually want him.

I agree. A 6'4" guard that averaged 6 boards a game last year, led his team in scoring three straight seasons, and shoots a respectable 33% from deep for his career on 550+ attempts does seem like it would be a good fit for this system.
Having said that, i've never seen him play before and actually never even heard of him before his transfer was announced. I've read that he is a capable defender as well and was second on his team last year in steals.

Sibande will have one year of eligibility remaining, and regardless of the voting of the transfer rule in May, he will consider sitting out a year due to his young age relative to his grade and also because it would give him a chance to develop as a player.
Thought this was particularly interesting.

He broke onto the scene this past season when he scored 37 points against national powerhouse Prolific Prep. Jordan Nesbitt, ranked as the No. 30 small forward by 247Sports’ composite, has an intriguing game.
The St. Louis native has several high-major offers and has found himself with a national recruitment that has drawn the likes of many top-rated programs.
Illinois, one of the programs on him the hardest, conducted a staff meeting with Nesbitt over one week ago. The Illini hosted him for a visit to cap off their season and Brad Underwood remains heavily in the mix for him.
“Saint Louis, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Illinois and Alabama, are heavily involved,” Nesbitt told Stockrisers.com. During the pandemic he’s already conducted several virtual visits, most recently with Alabama who offered him.
New Mexico and Ole Miss have also done virtual visits. The Lobos have also been in the mix, they believe that they’ve got a legitimate chance with the St. Louis Christian Academy wing.
Programs do remain to get involved, the most recent school involved with Nesbitt is the South Carolina Gamecocks. Finally, there have been rumors of a possible reclassification from him, but Nesbitt denies all rumors.

This thread kind of turned into a continuous recruiting thread instead of just for one season, and I don’t really have the time to keep up with all the offers and stuff anymore, so if someone else wants to make a new one that can be updated more frequently feel free to

St. Vincents-St.Mary’s guard Malaki Branham had an excellent season. In front of thousands against Sierra Canyon, Branham established himself as one of the top-rated juniors nationally despite the loss. The 6-foot-4 guard is ranked as the No. 26 player overall by 247Sports’ and could see himself rise after performing on the national level this season.
“Ohio State, Xavier, Alabama, Missouri, Florida, Michigan, Marquette, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Iowa, Cincinnati and Kansas State, that’s all the schools I’ve been in contact recently,” Branham told Stockrisers.com.
Prior to the COVID-19 outbreak, Branham was able to take unofficial visits to Louisville and Ohio State, two programs that he’s extremely familiar with as he has visited more than once.
Now that everything is going on and coaches are using the virtual tools, he has been able to conduct several zoom calls with the staffs of each respective programs. Starting it off with Xavier and Ohio State midway through April. Then more coaches continued to stay in regular contact but those were the first two zoom calls.
On April 22nd, he got on a zoom call with Marquette’s Steve Wojciechowski and Dwayne Killings and landed himself an offer from the Golden Eagles. Since, the staff conducted yet another zoom call with him yesterday, keeping close tabs on what has quickly become a major priority in 2021.
Last week, another new program established themselves as a program that will make a push at Branham as Pittsburgh’s Jeff Capel met with him on zoom and extended him a scholarship offer. Wouldn’t surprise me as he had the chance to prove himself on a high-level both last summer and this past high school season.

Not that it means much, but it doesn’t appear anyone on staff follows Carey on twitter. That might show our level of interest.

Yeah, I don’t think we are really in the mix tbh. I saw his name mentioned with us only one time and that was probably around 3-4 weeks ago by now.

One of the most coveted and productive transfers of this season is now down to five schools. Indianapolis native, and former Miami-Ohio standout, Nike Sibande has narrowed his list of schools down to five and is going to move forward figuring out what is the best option for him.
“I would like to thank all of the schools that recruited me, but I have decided to narrow my list down to five programs," Sibande told 247Sports. "The five I am considering are Alabama, Arkansas, Georgetown, Georgia and Xavier."
