Remember ESPN's mock had Herb Jones going 18th last year. Not a very accurate mock. I think we'll have Primo two years. After his sophomore year he will still be the age of the freshmen going into the draft, remember he reclassified.

Didn't he already cut us when he released a list of 10 or so?

Yep he wouldn't be a very good fit here. He can't shoot or dribble. He will do better in a offense where he can just play inside, get a ton of rebounds and some easy putback dunks.

So five-star hoops prospect Josh Primo just committed to Alabama. Said it all season long: With the style of play Bama played this year under Nate Oats, I'm guessing that staff KILLS it on the recruiting trail the next couple years

Some quotes from Primo about why he picked Alabama, how he sees himself fitting in ect.

quote:

“I chose to commit to Alabama and I think the biggest reason why I picked them is I had such a good relationship with coach Nate Oats,” Primo said. “He spoked with me and my family a lot and made it really clear what the vision was for me and my college career and that vision is what I had for myself.”

quote:

“They came out to see me as much as possible, they used up all of their visits, they even came to games when I was injured just to have a talk with me,” Primo said. “They called me almost every week and checked in on me and my parents. They just made it clear that I was their biggest priority every day”.

quote:

“I can see my game fitting in really well,” Primo said. “Coach likes to play fast, he likes to play with a lot of guards who can pass, dribble and shoot and I think that’s exactly what I can do. I can make plays and coach Nate likes guys who can be creative and he allows guys to do that. I’ve seen that throughout the year with Alabama this year and I think that it will be really good for me to get into that system.”

quote:

“I think that I have been known for my shooting ability, which I will of course bring that to the table, however, what I have been working on and beginning to show is a lot of ball-handling ability and the ability to create plays for myself and my teammates and just make everyone better,” Primo explained.

Doesn't surprise me with Primo committing. He obviously wants to go somewhere he can be the guy, and not sure that would happen here with Quinerly, Shack, Herb, and now Primo, then Petty could still return too.

Our starting lineup seems pretty set as far as guards go.

I still think we take at least two more guards and a F. Hopeful we get Ellis.

Rider guard Dimencio Vaughn is in the NCAA Transfer Portal, per a source. Averaged 14.8 PPG and 6.8 RPG. Graduate transfer.

He would be a good fit, shot 39% from three. Good size too at 6'5 220. Tough, physical player.

Should be a hell of a combination next year. I'd say gOats is recruiting pretty well so far.

I'd like more than one forward/center. We haven't seen anyone yet that can be the presence inside to keep us from getting killed in the paint and that can clean up the misses with some thunderous putbacks.
