I wish the staff would look into Hayden Koval. 7 feet 220 and had a triple double last year with points, rebounds and blocks. Would be a good fit for this offense, he can shoot, 34% three point shooter. Grad transfer too. No idea if we are recruiting him or not. Would be a great rim protector.

Highlights from his triple double.

Another grad transfer stud has entered the portal, Justin Turner G from Bowling Green, averaged 19 points, 5 rebs and 3 assists per game, 37% career three point shooter. I'm sure he and Oats know of each other since BG is in the same conference as Buffalo, I'm sure we will contact him. He will probably get a ton of offers.

We contacted Joshua Morgan from Long Beach. He’s a center that would sit a year

The transfer portal is loaded this year. I don't ever remember this many good players transferring. Gonna be even more loaded next year with players being able to transfer without sitting out.

Is Bama favored to get any of these guys? Which are the most likely?

Alabama, Michigan State, Marquette, DePaul, Georgetown, Wake Forest, Memphis, Pittsburgh, amongst others remain involved with Karim Mane, he told @Stockrisers.

The NBA remains a possibility. He’s still open with his recruitment.

He deleted that tweet and posted it without our name, so I’m guessing we’re out

Yale graduate transfer Jordan Bruner talked with @Stockrisers. He said Baylor, Arkansas, Alabama and Maryland are amongst the programs on him hard.

Plus, Gonzaga, Memphis and St. John’s are recently involved. And, the NBA still an option.

Mane is likely going pro, Bruner probably is too.

If Bruner doesn’t go pro i think we have a good shot. He could show off his shooting and dribbling skills more in Oat’s offense than a traditional offense where he would be a traditional forward. Depends on if Duke or Kansas offer probably, they are showing interest in him but may not offer.

We have a pretty good chance with any of them unless a blue blood offers. Gonazaga has shown interest in a few of them, they would be tough to beat if they offered but they cant sign them all. So many good transfers this year Im sure we get a couple of really good ones.

We moved on from Mane, Sherfield committed to Nevada, and Marfo just cut us from his list (we didn’t make his top 15)

Marfo isnt really built for a fast paced offense like this surprised we showed interest but not surprised we arent in his top schools. He is a traditional big man and would do betyer in a traditional offense.

I think sherfield was pretty low down on our wish list. He is pretty good but not on the same level as some of the other guards we have shown interest in so far.
