I’d say that’s a safe bet.

Already said it, but I really think Ole Miss is going to take a big step forward next season. Big fan of Kermit Davis and I believe they return some quality players. They've got a weak OOC schedule though.

Agreed. He was a great hire for the Rebel Bear Akhbars. Their schedule might be weak but thats probably by design. They can win 23-24 games, point to being in the SEC, maybe steal an upset over Florida or Kentucky and go to the tourney again. That's a great season in Oxford. And then Kermit can start really selling the program and maybe upgrade the recruiting a little. If he can steal some recruits out of Memphis away from Penny, they can make some noise in the coming years.

He’s got a pretty impressive offer list for a JUCO. FSU, LSU, Illinois, NC State, Minnesota, Texas Tech, and West Virginia.

I would not expect us to make the cut here. Haven’t really seen anything about us recruiting him in a while unless I missed it.

Nimari Burnett has locked in his official visit to Oregon for 9/20 - 9/22. The Ducks are one of 5 finalists along with Louisville, Michigan, Alabama and Texas Tech. One of the most dynamic, skilled and versatile guards in America.

Not to freak anyone out, but Burnett received a CB for Louisville on Wednesday.

I don't think he's set his Texas Tech OV yet, but he has set the other 4 and so far we are scheduled to get his last visit. Doesn't necessarily mean anything though.

CBB Central, Preseason Top 100: #40-21

#22. Alabama– I’ve been bullish on the Tide since Greg Byrne hired Nate Oats to take over in Tuscaloosa, and I don’t think a top-25 ranking is unreasonable heading into the season. Sophomore guard Kira Lewis is an amazing fit for Oats’ guard-driven offensive system– to me he possesses All-American upside. Avery Johnson did not leave the cupboard bare, and the late additions of grad transfer Beetle Bolden (West Virginia), JUCO forward James Rojas, and stock-rising freshman Raymond Hawkins should give the returning roster the boost it needs to get Bama back in the Big Dance.

I just ignored that CB. Same guy who put in a CB for us to land Scrubb. I don’t think he knows much

Alabama in top five, has OV set for Top100 SF (BamaOnLine)
quote:

Alabama, Indiana, Miami, West Virginia, and Xavier make up the final five for Top100 small forward Jalen Bridges, the Fairmont (W.V.) product tweeted on Saturday.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pounder recently set an official visit to Tuscaloosa for the weekend of Sept. 7, according to 247Sports' Brian Snow, who had a chance to scout the elite talent this summer.

Other visits on the calendar include Xavier (Sept. 14) and Miami (Sept. 20) following the weekend stay in T-Town.

"At around 6-foot-8 with excellent length and an improving ability to handle the basketball, Bridges had a very impressive showing on the adidas Gauntlet with Wildcats Select," wrote Snow. "During the adidas Summer Championships and the adidas Gauntlet Finale, Bridges was a force scoring and rebounding. At first in July he was struggling some with his shot, which is usually his bread and butter as a player, but that picked up in a big way in the middle of July with Wildcats Select, and then again at the NCAA Regional Camp in Champaign, Illinois."

The Crimson Tide has yet to add a 2020 commitment in the Nate Oats era, but it's not for lack of buzz on the recruiting trail. The Tide was among the finalists for the nation's top-rated point guard Daishen Nix prior to his commitment to UCLA. Alabama will also host five-star combo guard Nimari Burnett at the end of September.

Bridges is rated the No. 18 small forward and the No. 75 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings.
