Good for them - they were supposed to better this year without injuries and girls back and they were really close for a long time. They finally broke through.

They've been considerably better this year than last. I kind of felt bad that Curry was gonna get canned because of the insanely shitty luck they've gotten last year with injuries and this year with the insanity of 2-3 of their losses.

And anything before that shouldn't even count. She took over the equivalent of Auburn when Bruce Pearl arrived.

As would I. We still have a shot in mens. I've never seen a basketball season this crazy nation wide.

If I was still invested in the men’s basketball team I would care...fortunately for me I am no longer invested

They have a bad Mizzou at home to end the season. If they don’t frick that up they will finish 8-8 in the conference.

It would be the first time they’ve finished .500 or better in the conference since the 2001-02 season and the most SEC wins in a season since 1997-98.

It is easy to bitch about Curry but women’s hoops has been very bad for a very long time.

If not for awful injuries last year they'd be looking for their 4th 20 win season in a row.

A lot of fluff win in those years but compared to where it was with Smith and Wendell it's not even close. Hope they can finish this year off and get into the tournament. Would be fantastic for them.

the women's program really suffered towards the end of Ricky Moody's run and then the replacement turned us into Kansas Football.

Pretty good comparison, both in record and margin of losses

With all the women’s hoops talk, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that I saw Madonna Thompson as we were walking back to our car at the BJCC Tuesday night

Her bio. I knew she was good, but damn.

Beginning her 22nd year as the Head Coach of the Shelton State Community College Lady Buccaneers, Madonna Thompson boasts an overall record of 580-131 (82%). She has led the program to nineteen consecutive 20-win seasons, with ten of those eclipsing the 30-win mark. Her Lady Bucs won the AJCCC Division II Conference Championship in both 2000 and 2002 and finished runner-up in 2003 and 2004. The 2000 team advanced to the NJCAA Final Four, finishing 4th in the nation. After restructuring the conference, the Lady Bucs went on to win the ACCC Division I Conference Championship in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and finished runner-up in 2005. Last season, the 2019 team had a record of 29-4, won the ACCC Championship for the fourth year in a row, and received a three seed at the NJCAA National Tournament.
