Y’all have no idea how much I want to be wrong about this season. Very few of ya’ll know the heartbreak I’ve suffered since 86 because Bama basketball. I mean we lost one of our best coaches in program history because he slapped a damn secretary (who does that). David Hobbs, who could recruit extremely well, but couldn’t coach. Mike, who started enjoying coeds wayyyyy too much. Thought Grant was the perfect get for us and would lead us to the sweet 16 regularly (He mentally checked out for some reason). Avery who was a used car salesman and I bought in.

He was mentally done at Bama. Battle was going to keep him and Grant wanted out. I don’t know what soured him, but he was done.

I think some guys are better suited for high mid major ball. He's at an elite mid major and seems comfortable.

He's a damn good man and I'm really happy for him. I think all of us are.

Forgive the negativity but the formula to beat Bama: keep it close and put Kira on the line.

I know, I know no way we win without him today and he really nutted up and shouldered the team scoring-wise, but damn, at some point you’ve got to be clutch. It’s not like he’s a 50% free throw shooter. He almost cost us the game.

He'll be fine, he's just gotta get the Avery Johnson out of him.
