Yea - hope we get Petty and Kira to come back. Petty is giving himself a shot at the NBA next year if he continues to play this well and shoot as consistently as he has.

and he was arguably the best guard in the country. He will almost surely be a top 10 pick in the NBA draft. Huge loss for them.

Very impressed with our team tonight, after that loss to Florida I was worried they would regress big time tonight, they did the opposite, won by 21 points. Great win.

We only had 10 turnovers tonight. Doesn't feel like it, but we out rebounded them 42-38. They are the SEC's top rebounding team.

We have 16 more games left, we have to figure out how to win 10 of them

I want to win 12 out of 16. It's possible if we keep, improving and no injuries.

9 home games left. I think this team is more than capable of going 8-1 In those 9. Just gotta find a way to win 2 on the road

So we thinking we only need 18 wins plus some SECTourney magic to get in the dance this year?
Posted on 1/8/20 at 8:33 pm to Crimson_Blinders
I think 19 wins is the Number. And we need Furman, Richmond, Belmont, and SFA to take care of business in conference.

Yeah 18-19 wins probably gets you in if your resume is decent. Basketball is a shitshow this year. I can only name about 5 teams that are definitely getting in right now.

What were the 4 years under Avery? Feels like we were always in the #65-#80 range.

We played the highest tempo of anyone in the big conferences, and it isn't really close

Pretty crazy how much of a 180 we are from one year to the next tempo wise. I wonder what the greatest year over jump for a team is in that regard?

Also, it seems like every guard or athletic big would want to play in this kind of style. Hopefully we start seeing some results on the recruiting front.

Alabama has scored 90 or more points in five of its first 14 games under Nate Oats.
Only scored 90 or more points nine times total in 10 seasons and 339 games under Anthony Grant and Avery Johnson.

It really is just a fun brand of basketball to watch. It isn't crazy or gimicky, either. It's smooth and fast and all based on making giving the defender 2 options and then punishing them for whichever one they don't make.
And just imagine what it'll look like in year 2 or 3 with veterans of the system.
The man sold us on a system and by gosh he's giving it to us.
