Bolden was a bright spot though. Arguably the best player on the floor for Bama today.

Obviously, whatever Reese was doing at the end was awful, but to almost (and should have) win at PSU with our roster and those officials is better than expected.

We'll get there. Just won't be this season.

That wasn’t our designed play. That’s on Kira. The inbound at the end was suppose to go to Kira also but they defended it and we had no choice but Reese. If Beetle would have waited another second Forbes was coming open

Yeah having an injured Herb who is so limited offensively (putting it nicely) be our lead guard on three straight possessions out of a timeout was baffling.

Yeah Penn State was favored by 11 and we had a chance to win it at the end. I'm taking mostly positives away from this game.

This is a project, and we are improving. We hung with a top 25 team today at their place, halfway across the country. The players have to learn how to win that takes time, not gonna happen game 9 of the Oats era.

Fouls taking Petty, who has been our best player lately, out of the game hurt bad.

We keep playing like we have the last couple of games the wins will come. Oats definitely has them playing a lot harder than Avery did.

Every time I have to change our record in the thread title, it’s like another part of me dies

Alabama coach @nate_oats on UA’s final possession: “They denied Kira and the ball went into (Alex) Reese. If I’d had another time out, I’d have called it. That’s not on Reese. That’s on me for not having us in a better play.”

Id much rather Beetle be handling the ball there today, Kira and Jones were ice cold all day.

Not sure if Beetle was hurting or what, but Herb handling the ball there is the last thing I wanted to see. Id rather Shackelford be handling the ball than banged up Herb.

Might have to keep my negativity here because the twitter world gets upset quickly.

I would have rather had anybody but Herb. I know the idea was for him to beat their big man off the dribble but Herb didn’t have the burst today to do it.

And even if he did, we all know he wouldn’t have finished at the rim

I can’t tweet anything about our team anymore. Always got our weak minded players and their parents searching their names and attacking fans for any bit of criticism. The group of players Avery coached have always been mentally weak.

I wanted to tweet “I wish we landed Jared Butler instead” but Kira’s mom would’ve found my address and pulled up

We got the matchup but Herb decided to shoot a 3 out of nowhere. But let’s be honest even if he beats that guy he misses that layup

These kids don’t believe. Avery mentally crippled all of them. It’s gonna take one big win to get them believing IMO.

And Kira ain’t ready for the NBA, he can declare if he wants but guarantee he ends up in the G-League and out of the league completely in 3 years

Man I can’t wait until Oats puts his conditioning, play style, and fundamentals coaching on this team. Give it time!!!...

It’s the truth. All of that vaunted 2017 class got worse their 2nd year under Avery.

If Avery is such a great coach, why isn't he coaching somewhere? You're a piece of shite troll and I can't believe they let you post here

No no no, I’m not saying Avery is a great coach. I’m saying they are sh1tty basketball players to begin with.

Herb, Reese, Galin should not be playing college basketball. Avery Mis-recruited, I’ll give you that. But, you guys acted like Avery couldn’t coach and that’s why Galin, Herb, and Reese sucked.

Avery may not be a great coach, you’re correct, but NOBODY can coach Herb and Galin Smith to be good basketball players, not Avery, not Oats, not John Wooden. Galin, Herb, and Reese are clowns
