He can throw. Really well.
The problem is he struggles to read, he's scared so he doesn't throw his receivers open and he plays too safe.
He had great arm talent. Though. Little good that's doing us today.

The OL can't pass block on RPOs. They have to contend with that whole, "R" in the RPO. The QB is deciding late what to do with the ball. There's no way for the OL to know what he's going to do.

I mean, he locked him up at the line and drove him back. If the defender was strong enough to hold his ground he wouldn't have been driven back.

Not in the least. Pretty objective call. Saban has been very outspoken about that. You can't be 8 yards down the field before a pass is thrown under any circumstance. Not to mention he ran forward right away. He never made an attempt to pass block. Boneheaded play on his part.
