I loathe the "good loss" argument as much as anyone, but I kind of feel like losing to State plus Avery addressing our tournament aspirations could have a positive effect tonight.

To be fair, he would have gotten whatever he threw up thrown into the 5th row. He isn't big enough to bang in there and finish. He has to figure out a way to score once he gets past guys, either by pull up or by developing high archers or something. He can't just be totally unable to do anything once he gets inside the 3-point line.
