Most probably finishes

@ Kentucky - L
vs Auburn - W
vs Arkansas - W
@ Georgia - L
vs Georgia SECT (#8 vs #9) - W
vs Kentucky SECT (#8 vs #1) - L

19-13, RPI 58

@ Kentucky - L
vs Auburn - W
vs Arkansas - W
@ Georgia - W
vs Tennessee SECT (#7 vs #10) - W
vs Texas A&M SECT (#7 vs #2) - L

20-12, RPI 46

I think we have to either (a) win at Georgia or (b) win 2 games in the SECT. I think if we lose at Georgia and then don't upset the #1 or #2 seed we are going to be out. And, since losing to Georgia means we are probably in the #8 vs #9 game with Kentucky looming, we really need to win at Georgia.

Man, that State loss really makes things a whole lot harder.

Also - let me just add here - it would not shock me at all if we lost one of those 2 home games to Auburn or Arkansas. Our margin for error is really small, and if we play poorly and the other team is making shots, we can lose any of the remaining games.

It'd also be nice if other bubble teams would begin imploding...or just not have any good resume wins from now until the end of the season.

Arkansas has been terrible on the road under Mike Anderson.

And unless Bowers has the game of his life again, I see Bama winning fairly easy at home vs AU.

Yea, I do agree, we are probably more talented than both of them, at least Auburn for sure.

State is clearly in the middle of the pack teams in the conference at this point.

Bottom Group
Auburn
Missouri
Arkansas

Middleish Group
Tennessee
Arkansas
Georgia
Ole Miss
Mississippi State

WTF Group
LSU

Bubble Group
Alabama
Florida
Vanderbilt

Upper Echelon but can't win a national title
South Carolina
Texas A&M

Kentucky Group
Kentucky

Perfect title. Just cannot believe they have choked the way they have this year.

Damn Nick Jacobs is still playing college ball for Georgia Tech. The kid has to be 25, it feels like at least.

Lunardi has BAMA as a 12 seed in Denver playing Purdue. Butler is also in the same spot.

Wonder how high he'll have us after we beat Kentucky

I'm just now recovering from the Miss St. loss. What a depressing game...

I thought we were going to claw our way back into it, but kudos to MSU for hitting shots down the stretch.

It felt a lot like our loss to Auburn. We just could not get into the game, and were up against some hot shooters.

Yep. I love him and he's had a great year (especially relative to zero expectations), but Arthur killed us. He missed 5-6 WIDE OPEN 3's that were the result of great offensive execution. He hits 2 or 3 of those and we probably win the game.

But hey, you are going to have games like that.

He's had games like that before, but someone else has usually stepped up. Hale did a little, but he still missed a few open shots as well. Just not our day shooting the ball. It happens. We didn't shoot it that well against Florida either, but luckily they shot it worse than we did, particularly down the stretch. MSU hit their shots. I mean, they had 1 guy hit his 1st 3 pointer of the year, and one hit only his 3rd.

Yep. MSU made plays, they made shots and they executed defensively the last 4 minutes of the game. They were not going to let Retin get started and they stalled us.

Howland can coach. They are going to get better players and be a good program going forward.

Coach Avery has finally talked to his team about the NCAA tournament and being on the bubble. Here's what he had to say: LINK

Bleacher Report came out with this list of sleeper teams who have the best chance to make it to at least the Sweet 16. Bama is on the list. RTR! LINK

I really wish we could pull off the upset tonight but we aren't as talented as UK and even if we were, those refs aren't gonna let us finish the game without at least one player fouling out.
