A few questions-
How bad is Corban hurt?
Do we know anything more about King?
And are we trying to redshirt BA? He didn't even come in when the walkons did

It was a good win. Glad I got to go. Arky Lite was smallish, but athletic. They had some good shooters too. Jr has really impressed me this year. In the first game or two I didn't think he'd ever contribute much. Turns out he can actually make those wild-looking shots high off the glass. And he's the best leader on the team.

If we hadn't choked against Texas, I'd feel much better going into conference play

I don't know about Collins or King, but Austin has played in just about every game, I think. I know he played a fair amount against Clemson.

I don't have any idea how the college basketball redshirt rules work. I was just surprised he didn't get any minutes.

ETA: Dazon played for a while last year and got a redshirt.

Now that you mention it, I don't think he was even there. I don't remember seeing him even in warm ups.

Collins has a groin injury and I thought i read somewhere he would be out like 10-14 days. King is supposed to be getting tests. I think he'll be back in January. Not sure what the deal with BA is.

I think I saw him on the bench. I didn't see him warm up either though. Maybe he's got an injury.

I think he has the potential to be a good player for us. Maybe like a 3 and D type of player

For a medical RS You have to play less than 30% of your (regular?) games and no games past a certain point

For example, if you played 8 games then got injured for the year you qualify. You play 14 and no qualify

Seemed like a nice arena on TV too

I agree. Wish we had a smaller arena in ttown. It's pathetic seeing how empty Coleman looks all the time.

This is worth watching. It's Coach Avery's postgame presser. He talked a lot about a whole bunch of stuff but the main part i really liked hearing was he said they scrapped like half the playbook and made things simpler for the team, that allowed them to play loose tonight, and helped them play faster and better. He said they hadn't been running enough in games and he wanted that to change and it's still not fast enough for him. FINALLY we are trying to go uptempo. I think he just had to figure out where to use each player and then go faster. Here's the LINK

Hell, just to make it worse, we'd be sitting pretty well if we don't choke vs Valpo, Texas, and Dayton.

They've all been close games. It's frustrating that they all went the wrong way. But, on the other hand, I think it has to be a good sign that they aren't getting blown out.

Very true. Hopefully next season with more talent, we can learn to finish out the games and stop the scoring droughts.

Can't stress enough how much I hope this win vs Arkansas State has given them confidence offensively. I'd feel a lot more comfortable if they weren't so careless with the ball. We're averaging 13 turnovers per game. Doesn't help that our main PG, Ingram, is erratic with the ball too. Hope he cleans that up.

Hall and Key continue to impress me.

Like I posted yesterday, per KenPom we were "lucky" aka won all the close one possession games last year (top 30 nationally in luck) and this year we are the opposite (270th or something) .

If that is truly the case, it will even out in league play. Doesn't mean we'll be good, but probably better than our record indicates.

My guess would be we finish right around 500.

That was one of my thoughts earlier in the thread. I thought they had been running too many set plays.

It's good to see him make adjustments like this, though. CAG would have just dug his heels in.

As bad as things have went early in the season, we still have a winning record and now we're back in the top 100 of ESPN's RPI rankings.....at #100 . There's 10 SEC schools ahead of us so there's plenty of opportunities for us in conference play.

So the intro to this latest Sexton highlight video had me rolling. I can't wait to have him on campus
