Davis reminds me of Blakeney for LSU last year. Was hyped up as a 5 star sharp shooter but couldn't make anything when he got there

Yeah I was really hoping we would see some more creativity and more uptempo this year. Looks like the same old shite as usual and we're stuck with boring arse basketball.

I don't know why I'm emotionally invested into Alabama basketball. It has never made me happy. Yet I still watch this travesty every year, just to get disappointed.

Taylor having four points in a game like this is unacceptable. Against mid majors your bigs should really be your main advantage

Ok now that I've calmed down, here's what I think about the rest of the season:

Right now we're 2-2. Take care of St. Louis and Charleston Southern and ur 4-2 going into the game at Texas (who is struggling big time). I still am gonna say we lose that one and lose to Oregon. That makes us 4-4. Then u get a bunch of small teams and then Clemson. I think we win all of those and finish 8-4 heading into conference play with our biggest win being at a neutral site (basically at home) against Clemson. That's not terrible, but it isn't great. But if we could somehow beat Texas before they get back on track, that puts u at 9-3 with wins at Texas and vs Clemson heading into conference play. That would be pretty good. Then, we've gotta take advantage of the SEC being weak this year and win at least 9-10 conference games to get on the bubble. The good thing is we only play UK once and it's at home. That's easier said than done, and I don't feel good about our chances of making the tourney now, but I'm still not gonna give up. At least this SHOULD be our last year struggling. Next year will make up for all of this. But this season isn't over yet so just #BuckleUp and try to stay positive about it. RTR!

That's not good. Clemson would be our only halfway decent win. With the SEC being shite again, we'd have to do a lot better than 9-10 wins.

Yeah, no. The team I tried to watch last night doesn't just get to "take care" of St Louis or Charleston Southern and definitely loses to Texas, Clemson and Oregon. "Small teams" will pose a problem, too. This is just last year's team minus the only player they had. We'll be lucky to be .500 this season without a major paradigm shift. Boring, really really bad fundamental basketball. Painful to watch. Grantesque and grotesque.

I haven't even seen us run a really fast paced offense yet. When is that supposed to start?

If Johnson wants fans to keep showing up to games, he's going to have to start winning meaningful games very soon. Football is the only sport our fanbase will still watch if it's mediocre.

A starting 5 of Ingram, Collins, Norris, Bola, and Taylor isn't going to win you many games.

i said the same thing last week about no up tempo and his bullshite remark about buckle up. You got to back things up if you have a catchy phrase. With that being said I did not see the game and still do not know the results.

It won't take a bunch of losses for people to turn. We've already lost 2 games to teams we quite possibly should have beaten. We were favored over Dayton.
For now, this is setting up to be a long season.

No I didn't. As soon as they turn mediocre, their fans will desert them as well.

Sounds like another lackluster performance. I was patient with Grant. I'll give Avery another year or two so we can get rid of Grants players before I truly melt.

I personally didn't have any problems with the STYLE of offense we were running last night.
People comparing this O to Grant are experiencing some revisionist history. I'm not saying it has been superior, but it isn't the same. We had some passes into the low block that never would have happened under Grant. This team doesn't have anyone who can finish at the rim consistently (and I'm not just talking about our bigs). Most years, Grant had that, and we were still garbage.

Yea, it's pretty awful.

I scanned the game log last this morning on ESPN and there was a 5 minute span late in the 2nd half in which Donta Hall missed something like 5 or 6 dunks/layups in a 3 minute span.
