Don't like this draw much. Richmond is good, and Clemson already beat us.

TJ Cline was the A10 player of the year and Deonte Buckingham was the best new player. We ought to be able to kill them on the boards, but they are a good team.

Lmao...what's the other tourney that Pearl said they wouldn't accept an invite to? As young as they are seems like he would like to get the games in vs anyone smh what a diva.

Just happy we get to play. No matter the outcome the more games the better with a young team.

Yea, Cline appears to be their workhorse. 6'9", 230 lbs.

28.6% of their shots (160th nationally)
80.4% minutes played (299th nationally)
30.0% of possessions (55th nationally)
38.7% assist rate (10th nationally)

Their big 3 play massive minutes. I have to assume foul trouble will be a big cause of concern for them, as Cline is their biggest regular at 6'9" 230 lbs.

ShawnDre' Jones - 89.8% of minutes
Khwan Fore - 83.5% of minutes
TJ Cline - 80.4% of minutes

The CBI. I'm surprised Auburn chose not to go. Like you said, why not take advantage of extra basketball? We turned down a CBI bid about a decade ago too though.

The CBI is pretty embarrassing. Should it be? I dunno, but it's clearly looked at as a joke by college basketball people.

Yeah I get it, but is it less embarrassing than saying we aren't in any tournament? If I was an Auburn fan, I'd rather Bruce accept a bid and then use the practices to work solely on defense with the young guys. It probably wouldn't make much of a difference, but if the only reason not to go is pride, that's pretty thin skinned.

Avery Johnson mentions Alabama will play 2-3 games during a foreign tour in August, prior to the 2017-18 basketball season.
