And throw in 2 winnable games vs Aubie

Easy to say this but we also could've easily lost at home to Vandy, @SCAR, @Mizzou, and even St. Louis in Vegas. We weren't nearly good enough to be a tournament team this year.

Just got back to Huntsville..Wow is all I can say..I haven't seen us play like that in a long time..Going to need more from Armond and Key..They both played like crap today.
Omg if we win tomorrow I'd die.

I'm not saying this happens, but if we beat SC and UK and lose in the SECCG, that puts us at 20-14. Are we firmly on the bubble?

Per RPI Wizard that scenario (then losing to Florida) would give up an RPI of 64. That wouldn't be good enough.
We have to win the tournament.
Had we done the above plus won at Tennessee we'd be at 58. Had we done the above plus won at Tennessee and vs Georgia we'd be at 52.
Oh well.

Hell, throw in the Texas, Oregon, Valpo, and Dayton games as well.

That's why I'm so optimistic about next year. We're returning a lot of our best players from this team and adding a top 5 class. We should be dangerous next year.

We got much better this year, and our talent should be much better next year.
There should be some caution, however, as we have been an ELITE rebounding team this year....and we lose both of our elite rebounders. That will hurt. A lot will be on Giddens and Halls shoulders to step up.

Man this Northwestern team is killing it
Posted on 3/9/17 at 9:07 pm to Gary Busey
Yeah you're right we probably don't belong in the tournament this year. But there will be several teams that don't belong in the tournament. I'm thinking some power five schools that have no business being there but will get there on name recognition alone. Teams like probably Syracuse, Kansas St., and outside of the 4 teams that will make it from the S EC, the only one on the bubble that should make it ahead of us is Vandy. The rest of the league has a resume that is no better than ours.

Bola and who? Taylor is still a terrible rebounder. Hall is WAY better on the boards. I'll miss Bola, but I feel like I can safely assume that Giddens, Smith and Reese are all better on the boards than Taylor is now.

Agree, I really meant rebounding & shot blocking. Hall is very good on the boards. Bola is literally one of the best rebounders in the country.
If Giddens can just come in and provide a physical presence on defense and the boards and do basic things on offense I think we'll be in good shape. However, I feel like I've said that about incoming big men for like 10 years.

I know he doesn't take many attempts, but it's crazy to think Dazon is shooting 48% from beyond the arc.

The line for our game has been taken off the board. Anybody know anything going on with either team?
Posted on 3/10/17 at 8:45 am to Chadaristic
SC is considering forfeiting.

Line is back up and we are now +4.
