Really hate Alabama getting my hopes up so much. Get a huge lead and then blow it. I hate it sooooo much. I don't know why I keep coming back to watch.

I question some things Avery do but a lot of shite is on the players. You can just tell they aren't basketball players. Ingram is a athlete trying to figure it out. Makes no smart plays.

Everybody did the same thing with Grant. Blame the players the first few years for the massive collapses, then blame Grant as the years go on. I'm sure it'll follow the same pattern under Johnson as we continue to underwhelm.

That one lazy pass by Dazon towards the end where he and Riley had a 2v1. Instead of going to the rim he tried to get fancy and made a shite pass to Riley. A possible 7 point lead turned into a one point deficit. Lets not forget all the other bullshite fundamentals they missed on late in the game.

Exactly what I'm saying. They don't know the game. Bad thing is these are the same guys that will be on the team next year. Can't fix stupid over one year. I'm honestly so sick of Ingram I wouldn't care one bit if he left the team in the off season. He holds the ball more than Trevor lacy.

And of course we had a good half offensively the first half and I knew we were doomed the second half. Its just the same shite, different game with this team and has been last 10 years. If Avery can't fix the bad habits like 5-10 minute scoring droughts, free throw percentage next year with our talent, then there is no hope ever for this basketball team.

Negative. The only player with an offensive game under Grant was Retin and he was handcuffed until Grant left. Avery will have Petty and Sexton next year to run the offense through. Somebody should be able to score when we need it.

Do you see the mistakes they make? Majority of them have nothing to do with coaching. Also today the refs didn't help. Now I do think he let's them so dumb things but its not like he can just pull them out the game with nobody to put in.

The decisions these kids are making on a regular basis are horrendous (Dazon loafing down court on a crucial 2 on 1 fast break, or Collins,the smallest man on the court, taking it to the hole with 3 defenders there). If after a couple of years CAJ hasn't taught them better and/or recruited players with better basketball IQs by then, it'll be his fault.

The bad pass on the fast break was one thing but the possession after that when he stopped on the fast break when we are up two??? How? Why? No way Avery told him to hold it up. Another thing...who the frick backs up when the shot clock is within 3 seconds on defense?

Next season will be the exact same. Get our hopes up, look terrible, make it to the NIT. Rinse and repeat. This is Alabama basketball.

Norris with zero points in the second half. Don't get me wrong, I know the kids are trying. But from a pure basketball talent standpoint we suck. Most of them couldn't crack the lineup at any SEC school not named LSU or Missouri. It's sad. I know they would be nothing more than bit players on any of Wimps teams. Next year is step one. Avery has to sustain the talent influx and improve the results.
That's the problem with basketball at a place like Alabama. It only takes a couple of bad seasons and you fall off a cliff to total sucking. And it's a hard climb back. The women are finally ready to turn that corner. I hope the men are too.

The reason I know it's not all coaching is bc you can see Avery set up a play out of a timeout and the players will mess it up and turn the ball over or miss a wide open shot. We were getting good looks a lot of times but couldn't hit a shot to save our lives in the second half.

Damn it, Alabama must have the exclusive rights to these and has at least one every game.
Every game, we have to get all the scoring we can in 30 minutes, because we always go 10 minute stretches with not a damn point.

We have some embarrassing fans. Oh my goodness. Not anyone in this thread, but some in twitter. Some saying fire Avery right now. Yeah that's smart, fire him before he gets a chance to get his players. Clueless football only fans is what it is. Actually started talking to some guy about Bama basketball on twitter the other day then looked at his description and it said "Alabama football and Duke basketball". That's the problem.
