Those are your words.

You decided he isn't so much as decent based on two games. In my opinion that's just a bit of a snap judgement.

Well, he's not getting much time over Taylor, Hale, Norris, and Hall. So take it how you will.

aight BB gurus. I only got to watch about 4 minutes at the 10 minute mark of the first half. Our offense reminded me a lot of the Grant offense. I saw guys standing around and a lot of one on one stuff. I did not see any up tempo. Of course this was only 4 minutes of a 40 minute game. Help me understand what happened in the rest of the game and what is so different about this offense.

Still don't have the right guys to run the uptempo the way he wants to. Next year he will have the his guys to be able to run the offense he wants to. We won't really see the type of style he wants to play until next year. He's still playing with mostly Grant's players minus Ingram and Key and the tranfers. Ingram and Key are already the 2 best players on the team. That should tell you how terrible Grant was at recruiting!

When you play a team that's experienced and runs the uptempo like Dayton, you're going to have some half-court sets to slow the game down. Occasionally they did run up court throughout the game, then had nice transition d or set up the the full court press, but for the most part it was a half-court offense.

Lot of it will look the same, but it's not. There are much more screens, pick and rolls, and drives in the paint and passes out to the perimeter.

Also it will take some more time for the team to gel chemistry wise. Can't have guys in constant motion without the ball handler knowing where to dish it out.

Basically just like Saban's 1st yr. You can't make chicken salad out of chicken poop. Once Grant's players are gone and Avery's are in, you will see the difference. This year we finally had 4 scholarships to give out to sign a full class. So this is basically his 1st class, and the very best one in our history. Can't wait to see Sexton, Ingram, Petty, key, Hall, and on and on running snd gunning! This team might not be flashy, but I think they can be pretty good. I mean we barely made any open shots all day and still almost beat Dayton! It will be an up and down year because of the streaky shooting. We will beat some teams we aren't supposed to, and lose to a few we are supposed to beat. In the end, I think we barely squeak into the tournament because I think we will have a good SEC record with a few pretty good non conference wins.

Looking ahead, trying to shake off today's loss: is Ball State any good?
They blew out St. Louis. They were up by almost 30 at halftime I think

They are an average mid-major team. Last year they finished 21-14 and made the CIT Quarterfinals. Don't know anymore than that

What is Ingrams game like? Haven't had the chance to watch him much but I've heard is a stud

Does Key slide into Starting lineup? I guess for Norris?

Avery's post game press.

Highlights Alabama's scoring drought, how he liked the energy the team brought, and issues with fouls.

Do y'all like Norris? Guy seems like he could be incredibly frustrating

Not sure what Ingram's style of play is like. I think someone smarter than me can answer that for you, but yeah, he's a stud. Still has some issues with turnovers, but he's fast and can drive the ball in traffic.

Key would start at 3 with Norris probably sliding to 4 IMO.

I like his hustle. Other than that it's frustrating

Norris is frustrating because he's a streaky shooter, but he still plays his arse off. He's the complete opposite of Hale. Fights hard for rebounds, plays good defense, and constantly trying to get open.
