one possession late in the overtimes he two handed shoved donta in the back for an offensive board and then got "fouled" on the putback.
I was legit pissed when that happened.

Plus, all the "volume" records in a game in which you play almost a full 3rd half are stupid.
OH MY GOODNESS HE HAD 12 REBOUNDS TOO. Well yea, he played 56 frickin minutes.

Collin Sexton named a semifinalist for the '17 Naismith HS Boys Player of the Year

Don't worry, he'll forget how to score as soon as he gets here

Does anyone know a good place to find old Alabama games? YouTube only has like 4 whole wins

It was impressive what he was able to do and how he held up his team. He made some great plays and was their post player in all the OTs after Silva fouled out
His actual point total + aggregate stats are a complete sham

Some of the Region games Sexton plays are insane.
Pebblebrook is in the same Region as Wheeler and Westlake. Between the 3 of them there are something like 8-9 SEC/ACC/P12/B1G commits.
Almost Wheeler's entire starting lineup is committed or will soon be committed to Louisville, Indiana, USC and Auburn.
Westlake has a kid commited to Auburn, one to UCF and one who is thought to be leaning towards Kansas.
Pebblebrook has Sexton and a 2019 kid committed to Auburn.

Westlake's prospects are 2 SRs in Okeke (AU) and Lewis (UCF) with a JR who is CB'd to Kansas
Wheeler is the ridiculous one with a 5* JR and 3 SR DI players in Tucker (CB'd to Indiana), Perry (Louisville) and Usher (SoCal)

Metro Atlanta has developed into one of the top 2-3 high school basketball regions in the country.
That is only one of 2-3 regions loaded with elite kids.

Yet Georgia still sucks. Most underachieving Athletics department in the country

They don't sign ANY of them. Their best commit of the Fox era was Caldwell-Pope and he was from Thomaston out in the sticks.
Georgia isn't even considered for these kids, even the ones that go to non-blue bloods like Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Clemson, etc.

Metro Atlanta is either the best or top 3 in high school talent in all 3 major sports.
Georgia should be Florida, basically, and they aren't.

The first five pages of this thread are laughably optimistic

Any expectations for Herb Jones next year? 6-7 and 183lbs. DraftExpress says he has a 6-10 wingspan.

quote:SEC officiating is absolutely horrible. They make the games unwatchable at times. The home teams regularly shoot more fts than the visitor. I don't understand how this hasn't been addressed
Thornwell only shot 36% from the floor and 14% from deep. And a lot of his free throws came from phantom calls. (Ex. one possession late in the overtimes he two handed shoved donta in the back for an offensive board and then got "fouled" on the putback." He shot 33 free throws (same as Alabama's team did. He also turned it over 6 times compared to 2 assists.
Seems pretty lame for the SEC twitter account and tons of other folks lauding it as one of the best individual efforts of all time.

No. We had a 4 OT game vs LSU (which we won) in 1972.
