The 1986-87 team will be honored tomorrow night. They went 28-5 (16-2), won the SEC, and lost in the Sweet 16.

We miss so many free throws Avery might be entering Willie Taggert territory if he made them run more than that

I really like what Avery is doing with bringing back guys from the program. Regardless of what's happened on the court, I don't think Avery has taken a single misstep marketing our program to our fans, nationally, and to recruits.
Think about what he has done recruiting wise with very little to no experience doing it coming in. Sure, he had experience persuading guys in free agency and a NBA resume to sell players on, but college recruiting is a different animal. I mean he's beating out Bill Self, John Calipari, Coach K. etc. for these guys like Sexton, Petty, Key, and Ferguson (yes I know, but he still counts).
Even the coaches like Mark Fox, Andy Kennedy, or Mike White who are far from legends have still spent their whole career honing recruiting skills, and Avery comes in and just takes it to 'em. When you also consider our lackluster arena and oftentimes mediocre fanbase, the young talent Avery's gotten for next year's squad is really remarkable.

Memo: For the love of god please don't chant "overrated" if we are barely losing to Kentucky in a few weeks.
I've seen Vandy and State do it. So embarrassing.
eta: Hell don't chant it if we are winning even. I hope they finish #1 if we beat them

I've always thought it was a lame chant. Shouldn't you want the team you just beat to be as good as possible

Guess they were hoping to get blown out.
Doing something like that only ensures a complete beatdown in the return game.

... Good intentions but even I wouldn't mind jogging up and down the court and I hate running
Got to make them suffer

I like the improvement I've seen in this team. We're just one scorer away from being really good. There are plenty of role players who can step up on a given night. We just need that one (Sexton) guy that can score at any time.

I said the same thing at first, but then I thought about just how many free throws we miss......they'll suffer

I feel ya'lls pain. So Auburn is #24 nationally in free throws attempted per field goal attempt.
That's relevant because we are #231 in FT%. So while we are slightly better than Bama at FTs, we probably see our team miss just as much

Yeah it's a big weakness when you can't shoot free throws. We lost by 13 to Florida and guess how many FTs we missed? 16. If we had made those FTs we could've won and been undefeated in SEC play right now

13.5 point favorites tonight

The game starts pretty soon, so let me get the ball rolling.
We fricking suck
Norris, quit dribbling the ball you a-hole
We can't shoot free throws. What the hell.
I hate this team.
Ingram, quit turning the ball over. Why?!?!
Hall, just blocked a shot, it went into the third row. Mizzou gets the ball back
That was closer than it should have been, but I'm glad we got the win
