speaking of UK didnt they lose to a mid major last night?
and guys I am not sure Lexi can get us over the hump in conference games against the good teams. She struggle with her control at around the 4 to 5 inning mark

I haven’t seen Torrance or the freshman P but it may have to be a committee when she pitches . She looked good enough to win vs a good team last night save one bad pitch. They really didn’t hit her hard at all

Do not blame that player! Blame the coach that didn’t prepare her for that situation. Practice for this team consists of Murphy prancing around as one of the girls. His hitting practice consists of him pretending to know about hitting and him pitching batting practice.

You are not far off on your criticism of Murphy, but he had nothing to do with the bone headed mistakes made by our 3rd basemen last night.

Say again. The idiot put her in that situation. Stop defending that idiot. The only reason that he is still at Bama is the perfect storm of players eager to play at Bama. His inefficiency as a coach has been masked by the players who came through OUR program. The sob can’t coach.

I understand your criticism of Murphy but she makes those plays most of the time . She didn’t last night… he can’t play for them. If you criticize him when they make a mistake then you have to praise or give him credit when they make plays by your logic

Exactly . I blame Murphy for not switching pitchers when Lexi got in trouble , but damn. He can’t field it for them either .

Murphy is what he is. He's a great recruiter who's players love him but a mediocre in-game coach and an abysmal coach when it comes to offense. He's gonna ride a stud pitcher as far as he can because he can't develop hitters past what they were in high school.

We waited too long to put in our stud pitcher and it cost us the game.

One bright spot from Wednesday and something I hope they will continue to do moving forward: after the first inning they invited folks to come fill in the empty seats in the grand stands. Prior to that there were lots of empty seats behind home plate for the ’sold out’ game. They use to do this at basketball games (invite folks to move down) - not sure why it stopped but it’s the first time I recall hearing the invite at softball. Keep it going!
