I feel a lot better about Bediako now than I would have if he had signed with us 5 years ago. We have a pretty clear player development framework now, whereas during the last 3 regimes there really wasn't one. He's got work to do, but I feel good about us getting him to where he needs to be. Same deal with Wilson. The potential is right there on full display. It's just a matter of bringing it out, and I finally believe we have a program capable of doing it.

I wish Petty the best. When he was hot, he was hot. He seemed to always have a penchant for playing really well vs Auburn too.

Bediako is more skilled on offense than you guys think he is. Some of ya'll are acting like he is some bumbling Galin Smith type on offense. He is not. You're gonna be surprised next year.

I mean I never compared him to Galin. I said earlier I thought he'd be all over 2023 and/or 2024 draft boards if he is just competent on offense given his length and mobility. Prep bigs just tend to need a bit of seasoning on offense, and it's pretty rare for them to be a major force on that end early in their careers.

Interesting Alabama spends the 5th most money on CBB.

I said I think he will be really good years 2-4 but I’m not gonna give him outrageous expectations year one like Fever...that’s not fair to him. He is still Raw and needs development.

Fever has him winning the Wooden award next year

I have him being a good player. You have him barely playing and getting passed on the depth chart by Langston Wilson, who we didnt even recruit to play center.

I bet I end up being more right about it than you.

Does that mean I should be bookmarking your posts just in case he isn't better than Wilson?

There's no one questioning the team any more, so now you're going around sunshine pumping our recruits? I'm not saying he won't play, but I do expect more from Wilson than I do from Bediako. That's more so based on how high I am on Wilson than how low I am on Bediako. It's okay to have differing opinions as to who your favorite recruits are. You don't have to be so defensive...

any former player or former/current HS/college basketball coach please comment on Herb Jones and how you see him stacking up as an NBA player. Not really interested in arm chair answers.

I am not defensive, just think it's funny that some people think a 6'9 guy who has played organized basketball two years of his life is gonna do better at center next year than a 6'11 5 star caliber center.

I am not sure how people come to such a bewildering conclusion and think it will be fun to laugh about next year that some people thought something so ridiculous.

So yes feel free to bookmark my posts about Bediako and Wilson, be my guest.

To quantify this for bookmarking purposes since that’s the topic of the day, what numbers will Bediako need to have next year to make you right and what numbers will Wilson need to have to make you wrong?

Why say "at center"? Makes zero sense to say that as that is the position that is easiest for an inexperienced player to pick up as it is the least reliant on skill and most reliant on size, athleticism, and reaction time. Not to mention that our system is not one where we need a true center. Case and point, Gary was our best 5 at the end of last year and had played mostly the 3 position his entire basketball career.

Thanks, but I'm not that desperate for an "I told you so". I don't care who's right. All I care about is us continuing our success from this season.

East Carolina transfer Jayden Gardner tells @Stockrisers he’s down to a final five: LSU, Arkansas, Virginia, NC State, and Miami. Averaged 18 points per game along with seven boards. Very talented prospect.

Has virtually met with all five staffs already. Next up: Decision.

Possible, I guess.

I'm sticking with Burnett and then Rojas transferring out, but I admittedly don't have any inside knowledge.
