Doubt it unless you recorded it. My best bet is directly message the ones doing the highlight videos and see if they can send it to you via email.

Ah gotcha, thought pioneer meant Oats spoke recently about a 3-5 minute segment from that particular game.

Thank You @Nate_oats for Sharing Your Story! @AlabamaMBB is so truly fortunate to have Coach Oats at the Helm of their Ship! Young Coaches, High School Coaches, & All Coaches Check Out: "EP 17 - Nate Oats, Head Coach at The University of Alabama" at LINK

In this episode, you’ll hear from Nate Oats. Nate is currently the Head Coach at the University of Alabama. Alabama is fresh off 26 Wins and a Sweet 16 NCAA appearance. As a result, Coach Oats was named the SEC Coach of the Year, was a National Coach of the Year finalist, and was recently rewarded with a contract extension. I have been friends with Nate since 2002 when Coach Oats was named Head Coach at Romulus High School in Romulus, Michigan. Nate is an elite high major college coach. However, he is a high school coach at heart. If you are currently a high school coach, this podcast is for you. Nate shares so many stories from his high school career and how his high school experiences shaped who he is as a coach today. As you soon will hear, Nate has this relentless competitive side that is so evident from his days at Romulus to now at Alabama. Nate also shares so many tips for young college coaches. He was so fortunate to be mentored by Tom Izzo, Jim Boylen, Vance Walberg, Bobby Hurley, Danny Hurley and TJ Otzelberger. Coach Oats provides such an in-depth, detailed, behind-the-scenes look at his coaching philosophy, his thoughts on networking, recruiting, building player relationships, and traits assistants can incorporate into their program. Finally, his love of his current coaching staff is so impressive. No doubt, Coach Oats is an ego-less head coach that is driven to work with his staff to bring a National Title to Alabama.

The NCAA’s Committee on Infractions will release a decision today regarding Baylor. This is related to the sexual assault scandal from the Art Briles/Ken Starr era.

Slightly off topic, but lolwut?

I knew the NCAA moved slowly, but just getting to a decision now on something from a minimum of 5-6 years ago is absurd.

ETA: Baylor is on their third HC since Briles was dismissed.

As expected. Another target off the board. I think makes six of our targets now that have decided to take the professional route.

PG for 2022 starting to look a little thin. Won't be pretty if we miss on Jaden Bradley.

Yeah I'm getting a little antsy about that. The good news is that with the portal + one time waiver in place there's basically a 100% chance we can sign a top transfer PG if we need to.

True, I wasn't even thinking about the transfer portal for some reason.

Yeah I think with the portal you're going to see most of the stronger programs dedicate their resources to top ~150 recruits and address the misses via the portal rather than reaching on a kid who will likely need a couple of years to develop.

2021 5 star Emoni Bates (@BatesEmoni) has picked up two crystal ball predictions for @Memphis_MBB via @247Sports. The flip from pro route begins.

Wow. Can't believe Bates is actually going to end up at Memphis of all places. I wonder if he plans on staying there for two years or if he will go there for a year to play with Duren and then spend a year on the Ignite team before heading to the NBA the following year?

Five-star guard Nick Smith Jr. breaks down his top 8 options

One of the hottest names in the class of 2022, Nick Smith is down to eight options. Smith will be choosing between Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, OTE and NBL. Smith is reportedly committing on Nov. 20th and has already visited Kansas, Auburn, and Alabama with visits to Arkansas on September 12th, Oklahoma on September 18th, and reportedly visiting Kentucky on September 2nd.

“I still need to figure out a lot of stuff going on with the schools, then I will know,” he said. “Right now I plan on visiting all options before making my commitment.”

Smith broke down each option with 247Sports.

Alabama: “I like their style of play and coach Oats is a great coach to play for. I really just like how they play and how coach Oats treats his players. I can see myself fitting in. There's been a couple guards this year and last year since coach Oats has been at Alabama that made it to the league. There's been like six players from Alabama that went to the league and two went lottery so getting to learn from him would be a great deal and I'm just trying to build a relationship with them.”

Auburn: “With Coach Bruce Pearl, I like the way he treats his players and players in general. He's a great and loyal guy and his style of play would fit me in terms of me trying to go to the league.”

Arkansas: “They want me to come in and be the focal point. Eric Musselman and his staff have a great vibe to them and I feel like it would be a great thing to look at in terms of me going to pros.”

Kansas: “I talk with coach Bill Self and the coaching staff like everyday. It's very rare for Kansas guards to go one and done but he actually feels like I can come in and do it. So just talking with him about my future and playing in his system would be a great thing in terms of going pro.”

Kentucky: “I like their style of play and I feel like it could help me get to where I need to go in order to go pro. Coach Cal has had a couple guards this decade that have come out of Kentucky that have not only gone to the league but have been successful there. In terms of that it plays a big role because it would help.”

Oklahoma: “Coach Porter Moses started recruiting ever since he first got the job. When he got the job he offered me on the spot. He feels like I can really come in there and be a focal point in his program and potentially go to the league after.”

Overtime Elite: “My coach went over to Over Time Elite so it made sense for me to look at it. I had a zoom call with them last week so I'm just hearing what they have to say and see if it makes sense.”

NBL: “I actually have a zoom call here coming up with them. I'm not really sure if I want to go pro or stay in college so I don't really have a lot of information on that.”

While Smith has been playing at a high level coming off a wrist injury, he really got to showcase his abilities at this year's Nike Peach Jam which he believes was no surprise.

“Before that I was doing the same thing,” he said. “It was no real surprise to anybody else. Everybody in the country was kind of surprised. It just showed I'm probably a top 10 player in the country but it was just being in front of the right people to show that. I'm going to keep playing my game and getting better.”

Kentucky is the foregone conclusion, but things sound most positive for us out of the rest.

Yeah, I kind of think that Kentucky is basically a lock to get him even though they will be pretty guard heavy if they get all the guys that everyone is saying they will. But if it is somehow an actual two team race, it's Kentucky and us I think. Would be an excellent pick up if we could pull it off somehow.
