Tech gets Shack and we get Nimari from them. I’ll take it.

If Shack has any hope of making it to the NBA, the number 1 thing he needs to work on is driving the lane in among the trees and doing something productive with the ball. And throwing it up in desperation and barely hitting the backboard is not productive. If he could learn some finishing moves against taller guys or how to find the open man, his value would take a quantum leap. Right now, Shack driving into the lane is pretty much just a turnover.

I have mixed emotions about Shack returning. Did he burn bridges by entering the portal? Is he going to be trying to improve his own draft stock over helping the team? Lots of questions and I don't know the answers but any of them could be a net negative. Or he could come back and slide right back into his old role and thrive. Who knows?

Frentchie needs to think about an NBA career, not some bullshite YMCA game. We need him healthy and 100% and he needs to heal and stay healthy for his future.

Saw we picked up Colorado State in B'Ham. That's a pretty good team and a good pick up. Damn, Oats doesn't shy away from competition. Never thought getting to SEC play would be the easy part of the schedule. We could easily be a more talented team and end up in 4th place in the league this year and a 6 seed in The Dance. The intangibles and leadership that left will be much harder to replace than the basketball skills. We need a big year to show Oats can sustain this thing and get things rolling on new facilities. I can't wait till tipoff.

Out of that list of schools I think it will be Arkansas or Alabama. Our style is the best fit for his game honestly, out of anyone on that list.

Unless he just wants to go somewhere he can be the main guy on the team. He basically had that at Oral Roberts, him and Abrams took most of their shots, so I doubt thats the reason he is transferring.

Clearly our system fits Obaner like a glove. The question would be, like Shack, did he go to NBA workouts and get told he needed to prove he can do "X, Y and Z" and pick a school where he can showcase whatever that is. If so, he may be looking for something different than fast pace, spread and shoot, and that would count us out.

Who knows. I'd certainly be thrilled to add him, though. You can never have too many 40%+ 3 point shooters in our system.

That would be exactly what a 6'8 225 F needs to show he can do to make the NBA though. I think he wants a place that does exactly that but where he will get a lot more exposure than he would at Oral Roberts.

He could do more of that here than anywhere else on his list, since we use our bigger players more like the NBA does.

Not saying he is gonna for sure go here, but if that is what he is looking for, a system that he can best showcase his skills in, then like you said we fit his style like a glove.

Being 6’8 his future in the NBA isnt at the 5. He needs to show he can play the 3 or at least the 4.

All I spoke on was what Coach Oats & company could see in Bediako...I'm not saying he is going to start because I know he is not. He will be a project offensively and he will have to learn defensive rotations at the college level to excel as a FRESHMAN!

Rivals ranked him as the 36th pllayer in the class, 247 ranked him 32nd, ESPN ranked him 33rd.

He is obviously a good player with a ton of upside. Don't let the haters drag you down Joka.

We need Mark Gotfired to use his bagman skills, esp. on a player from his alma mater.

You’re ok with trading a 14.5 PPG guy for a 5 PPG guy?

Jesus, Shack is so disrespected here.

So, you heard Nimari has been lights out at practice, eh? You know who else was really good at practice? Ar’Mond Davis.

I like Shack a lot, and think he was very underappreciated by a lot of Bama fans, but Burnett's upside is light-years higher than Shack's.

I love Shack, he actually has basketball skill. Herb didn’t. He’s a long-rangy defender, that’s it. He couldn’t do anything else, including making lay-ups.

Okay this is freaking hilarious haha. Sorry been out of pocket tonight, and sadly don’t have any more info. I haven’t heard anything new but I know we are getting very serious looks from our top 2 targets. Thought we would only be in the running for 1 but both are giving us very hard looks. Goat Oats working his magic.
