We are gonna need his shooting after losing Primo and Shack. I think he will play a good bit.

You counting Herb as a guard?

Forward/guard, probably the same as Gurley and Gary will be.

Do you consider Ellis a forward? He played the 4 a lot.

I’m just excited to see Burnett. I think people are forgetting at one time we all thought he was gonna be a program changing recruit if we landed him

It's semantics anyway, you could call our 4 a SF or a guard neither is wrong imo. It's usually a guy like Ellis, Gary, Herb, Gurley, who has some guard skills instead of a PF type.

I'm super excited about Burnett, JD, and Tchikou. Pretty dang excited about Gurley too.

I consider his best position to be SF

Alex is a frustrating player currently tbh. He shows so much potential but also doesn’t always follow his rehab protocol. He went to Vegas earlier this year and played in celebrity game and hurt his knee. He wasn’t even supposed to be playing. He has to mature and grow up or he is going to continue having set backs. He is a very respectful kid and a great human, but he is hard headed, which probably describes 90% of us at that age so I think it will still come together. He just has to be more diligent in his rehab and rest if he wants to be able to have any impact this year.

Little bit of inside info on Tchikou

Is that the crew league? Must have hurt it in the finals? That episode hasn't aired yet.

I thought he was back practicing with the team. Is he sidelined again?

No.

But someone then asked...

How far away is he from being 100%?

And the response was....

Hard to say, the new knee injured was another set back. Wasn’t major but Achilles injuries are freaking tough and long rehabs and even tougher when you throw a knee injury into the mix. I just think expectations should be limited for now. I think he is in an under promise over deliver situation.

His achilles looked pretty healthy in that tournament and the season is 4 months away, hopefully, he will be good to go by then. He needs to listen to the coaches though and hopefully not have any more setbacks. It will probably take a while to get his conditioning up since he probably hasnt played much full court/full speed basketball in the last year.

This can’t be possible. No way. I haven’t seen it anywhere else. You’re wrong. This can’t happen.

Just kidding. I hope the kid can put together enough defense and shoot like hell, when the lights come on

Gary is my guy, but I don’t believe he’ll ever be a guard. Ever

Kids heal pretty fast these days with all the rehab equipment the school can make available to them. They get treatment every day if they need it. Get his arse on the court.

I’ll be honest, I don’t know the new timeframe on Achilles, but they used to be hell to come back from. The fact that he was playing without permission, is worrisome. He’s gotta start looking at his health and the team first, or he’s going to have problems.

Yeah, I was surprised he was moving so well in that tournament, achilles usually takes a year to heal and he injured his less than 9 months ago.

I’m actually, very disappointed that he went hard on it without the coaches approval. I know young folks do stupid stuff, but that’s pretty bad.

Gary played the 5 some last year. I think he started at the 5 in that SC game you mentioned

That's because he plays more like an undersized old school pf than any other position. He'll never be a guard. He may defend the 3, but play the 4 on offense. His athleticism will allow him to play front court defense against bigger SGs and wings. But he's a bruiser on offense.
