Can’t let the trolls and haters get you down, Fever!! They’ll go away again once we start a winning streak (hopefully will be this year vs. having to wait for these studs to show up at the Capstone).

This is a huge get. I’ll wait judge til I see what they actually do in college but I think this class has a good chance to be better than the one with Miller and Clowney.

You never know until they're on campus. But the fact that we have a five star wing and center from the same prep school team is fricking awesome. That's a year of chemistry developed between two potential stars. That's something that's rare and invaluable .

With all due respect, this is a good class but there's nobody in the class that have the scoring ability of Brandon Miller. That last year's class will be hard for anybody to duplicate because of BM. If anybody is familiar with the late Stanley Robinson who came out of Birmingham and played with Connecticut that's who Reid is similar to. He's a competitor and he will give you his all on the court. High motor. Great class though and maybe some portal guys to go with it if any defections.

Brandon Miller was a generational talent. If you are judging the class based upon that, then yes, the class is only good. I think it's a pretty great 3 man class.

This class looks to be another elite one from Oats the GOAT.
RTR. Big pickup. Nate is a monster.

What do you think about Spence Sims because buddy really got a scoring bag!
I don't see him as a walk on. He's to skilled to be one in my honest opinion.
A lot of people are going to be shocked at how good he is. He knows how to play basketball. He'll need to get bigger but dude is a bucket for real.

He’s walk on level. ive seen him down in fairhope. If he’s getting more than walk on minutes next year then something bad really happened. And that’s not a slight to him, thats just the SEC. If he wanted to go play at Samford or something like that then yes he’d get easy playing time and good minutes.

He's way better than a walk on. That is a slight to him. Have you seen Sean Pedulla? That's who I compare Spence Sims to.
Sims has deep range, a good handle (better than the guards we currently have besides Estrada), a high IQ, he can use either hand, he has go to moves, and he can break you down. Walk-ons are nowhere near this skilled.

Great class! Three guys with elite, first round upside! Now, we just need to find a PG or two. Might have to go to the portal for that.
Posted on 12/22/23 at 10:40 pm to Bama3714
I'd rather go to the portal than HS for a PG honestly if you need one right away. Sears has a year of eligibility left after this year so he could return next year.

Spence Sims could develop into a PG but it'll take a year or so but I would rather get a transfer portal guy.

If you're that upset because you got downvoted by an LSU or Auburn fan lurking, then I'm not sure how you ended up on the rant in the first place. Don't sweat it. I just feel bad that they've got so little going on in their lives where they spend so much time in a rival's basketball thread.
Now I'll pop over to another teams board when a major thing happens. But every one of my posts in this thread for the last 9-10 months has a downvote. If they put that much effort in to anything productive, they might be able to get some pussy and move out of the basement.

100%. But I'm just imagining what it would've been like if Miller and Clowney had played on the same team in high school, and arrived with that chemistry.
Let's be real, scorers are gonna score. But to have that defensive chemistry is gonna be beautiful to see (especially after this season).

No he's not. His best bet would be to go the Sears route. If Sears had gone to Bama as a walk-on out high school he never would have played meaningful minutes for us. He went to Ohio, developed his game, and then transferred ready to play at a higher level. That would be Sims best bet. Pedulla was a borderline 4 star prospect. Sims isn't rated by any recruiting service.
