I think that he just need to hit the hole between the tackles faster. He is a beast when he gets into the secondary. I do wish we would let Fowler run the ball more. I really think he would be a great asset in wearing down the middle of the opponents D!

He has been very meh. He needs to run harder and hit holes faster.

I think his problem is that he's trying to score a touchdown every play by going untouched. He could pick up 5 just by hitting a small crease at full steam, but a lot of times he'll come to a complete stop and look for a larger crease (try to go outside) and end up barely getting back to the line.
He doesn't have the acceleration for that. People get out of his way when he gets past the first level, he just can have trouble getting past the first level. It's kind of understandable though really, half his touches last year went for huge gains.

this is how i feel. he's still early in his college career and he's having to adjust to a different level of competition and much faster opponents. Same goes for OJ.

For those that want him to run inside, he really isn't an inside runner. Runs too upright and is not very nimble. Getting him away from the scrum is where he really excels. I would like to see him getting a handoff from the shotgun position with a pulling guard paving the way outside the tackles.

That makes no sense. I'm not saying he can't do that or isn't just in a slump because of the situation, so laughing at me would be pointless because I'd be doing the same thing as you to people.

It's like one overreaction to another on here lately. Posters on here calling us dominate world beaters to pissant, don't care, egomaniacs who "just aren't good enough, definitely not a top team".
I'll say it again. That game last week has damaged the psyche of our fanbase.

Nothing has done anything to my psyche ....The dude runs like he is a scatback at times .I want to see him plant his fricking foot and run over someone.I think he has a ton of talent but IMO it would be nice to see him run like hes 240 sometimes.
Speaking of laugh I think its hilarious how you whine and cry when someone has a differing opinion .Not sure if its a schtick or what but you come off as a pretty huge douche just my opinion of course .
