I didn't personally have a strong reaction to Scott Cochran leaving Alabama last week, mainly because the people I trust had indicated for quite a while there was a growing divide between the value some fans/media placed on him versus folks inside the program. What I'm NOT saying: Scott Cochran was worthless. Scott Cochran will suck at UGA. Scott Cochran was run out of town. What I AM saying: Alabama is more than pleased with the way this turned out, and for the record I think UGA/Bama will both look like winners coming out of this deal in the near future." -- Josh Pate

I said the same things that he said in that video when Ballou and Rhea were hired. We are upgrading and moving into a new era of our program. I think that it's key for Sabans longevity to make adjustments and adaptations in order to keep up with the other top programs. Other programs have resources, too, and its imperative to not lose sight of that. We saw it with LSU last year. They were a completely different looking team from 2018. I hope that we see similar things. The talent is there for a great run.
