I don't think so since Winter sport athletes have to declare their intent to transfer by May 1 to be immediately eligible and the bball portal closes on April 22 (unless there's a coaching change).

T or F. Anyone at Bama who portals out in the spring must sit out a year if they transfer to an SEC school? I read it somewhere. And does it pertain to basketball as well?

Correct, however if it gets challenged, I imagine the SEC would cave.
