DJ Dale getting rave reviews, Neal still with 2's (If Jedrick is really hurt, that may change soon)

and with that post... I have to run out with the wife... do some honey do's... and will be back about 6 EDT, hope the ankle is sorted out by then.. .will post everything I can find (That you guys haven;t already posted) when I get back..

Eh, that's debatable. Writing up reports once BOL and TI release theirs instead of before or during an event like a scrimmage is slightly suspicious to me. That said, I tend to be a skeptic by nature, so don't allow that to offend you. RTR

No it isn’t. Some years I post live, others I take notes and post later. I took detailed notes this time and will post later once I have collected them. It’s not rocket science. I’m not in a competition to post something first.

Junior right tackle Jedrick Wills suffered a sprained ankle early on during the scrimmage and didn’t return, according to Tide coach Nick Saban.

Wills will undergo an MRI on Monday.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- One of Alabama’s offensive starters sustained an injury Saturday.

Right tackle Jedrick Wills suffered an ankle injury early on in the Crimson Tide’s second scrimmage of the spring at Bryant-Denny Stadium and did not return to the field. Nick Saban explained why.

“Jedrick Wills sprained his ankle today,” Saban said in a press conference. “We don’t know the extent of the injury. We’re doing an MRI. He didn’t come back -- we didn’t expect him to come back. We wouldn’t let him come back. So, we’ll see what the deal is when we do our MRI and all that probably on Monday. But no other significant injuries to report.”

Wills has 16 career starts to his name, including all 15 games as a sophomore. He led the team with 50 knockdown blocks, allowed just one sack this season and surrendered only one hit on the quarterback in 2018. Last year, Wills earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for efforts in the classroom and was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week for his play against Missouri.

This spring, Wills returned to his familiar spot as the starter at right tackle. The rest of the first-team offensive line has consisted of Alex Leatherwood, Emil Ekiyor, Chris Owens and Matt Womack.

“I feel like I definitely have to step up and be a bigger leader than I was last year, as well as a different feel with the O-line coaches and just the whole coaching staff in general,” Wills said earlier this spring. “But everything’s running smoothly, and I feel like, in the end, it’ll all be fine. Just be the same offensive line, same Alabama team.”

Alabama will practice again Monday, April 8, for its 13th practice as the A-Day Game approaches.
