Good catch. I overlooked the tie situation completely. Its kind of odd to be talking about ole miss in the sec season race.

What a shame that Fouts had to lose this game due to chitty overall hitting.

In addition to Murphy being a piss poor hitting coach, he is even a worse third base coach. He ran Bama out of the game today. He had no business sending Dykes home on the little grounder up the middle. He did that a couple of times this weekend. He needs to get his head out of his arse.

We just have to come to grips with a coach who's great at getting us to the cusp... and beyond that it's honestly a coin flip.

Hindsight says it was bad but he knew with UK's pitching that we were going to have to manufacturer a run and it just happened to back fire.

Bad? Really. You are giving Murphy too much credit to think he was actually attempting to coach.

We have been aggressive running bases all year, scored a lot of runs, stole a lot of bases. Didn't work out yesterday'.

Can Ole Miss actually share a season title , they have missed a game in the South Carolina series and have one less sec game for the season.

The SEC commissioners rules reads:

quote:

Conference Championship/Tournament. [SEC Bylaw 30.22.1.3] 1. The team with the highest percentage of wins during regular-season Conference competition will be declared the Conference champion. If two or more teams are tied with the highest percentage of wins, they will be declared Conference co-champions.

Makes it sound like Ole Miss could actually win it all. Their winning percentage would be very slightly higher than Bama or LSU due to one less loss if they all end up with 16 wins.

Bama missed an entire SEC series in 2011 and still won the SEC because of their winning percentage.

If we can win game 1, that will do wonders to calming my diamond ball nerves. I want the SEC title and a Super Regional hosting gig.

I agree, lsu uses more of a pitching staff unlike florida with Barnhill. I think they have 3 pitchers that gets most of the innings. Sunseri could pitch game 1 but thats just a guess.

Murphy was too busy before the game giving out roses (To both teams mind you), than getting his team ready to play a game. What f/n coach do you know that has a love fest before a team kicks his arse? Idiot....

lol

I understand giving Murphy a hard time like any coach, but jesus christ. Literally every coach in women's athletics does that for senior day... the classy ones recognize the opposing seniors too.

I don't know if Murphy dumped you, or broke off your engagement, but my gosh, you're awful. Murphy isn't my favorite, but this season has been pretty damn good. I have a feeling that even if Bama went undefeated, you would bitch. I don't know what Murphy did to hurt your feelings, but could you please keep your love life private.

I think our "friend" may be on the challenged side of things. Maybe we need to give him/her some slack

Damn. Maybe I have been a little rough on him. I should be more understanding when we lose two out of three to Kentucky at home. Maybe I should look away when he sends his Catcher home on a dribbler up the middle and was stoned at home. Wasn't even close. And I should probably ignore the what the frick looks the players give him EVERY time they are thrown out. Not to mention, when he trots out the dump truck that's hitting a whopping 150 or so to hit for a 300 plus hitter. I should also be more understanding watching the team struggle against average pitching. I should take easy on the hitting coach. Oh, that's him. Didn't mean to flatter him by calling him a hitting coach. he's been up there 20 years. Had the best talent a coach could want. One title is unacceptable.
