Not too long ago Rolando McClain was my favorite LB of all time, in fact maybe even my favorite defensive player in Alabama history. His tenacity on defense was something to behold. I just assumed that Rolo would always be my favorite LB, because I didn't think his intensity or ferociousness would ever be matched in the program.
Then CJ Mosley came along and although he didn't play with the same swagger and frick you attitude that Rolo did, he was probably a better football player overall imo. I was/am a huge Mosley fan, but even though I think he was a better LB all things considered, he still didn't become my favorite LB over Rolando.
Next in line was Reggie Ragland. He plays a lot like Rolo and CJ both. He's almost like a mix of the two. Probably not quite as good in coverage as CJ, but better than Rolo. Reggie makes bigger hits than CJ, but maybe not as thunderous as Rolo. All three were/are the Quarterback of the defenses they led/lead. Considered by many to be an extension of the coaches on the field. And even though each defense had other players that had extremely pivotal roles, you could argue that these three guys were arguably the most important on each one.
I think Reggie might have actually done what I thought was impossible. He has become my favorite LB in Alabama history. He has stayed out of trouble and he has led by example. He makes sure everyone is lined up where they need to be and then he goes and busts heads on a regular basis. He's also very humble which is something that I really appreciate, because i'm not exactly sure how humble I would've been at that age.
TL;DR: Reggie is a beast and i'm looking forward to him raising the trophy tonight.
ROLL DAMN REGGIE

Yeah, that's Kiffin.
ETA: Not only does Reggie carry the defense, but apparently he can carry the offense on his back too.
