Honestly, for me the deciding factor regarding TVs as related to sports is refresh rate, i.e. hertz. You gotta go 120hz, or at least make sure the tv comes with some frame interpolation software or something.

I would assume that those QLEDs are 4k, and nearly all 4k TVs, or at least most of what I've seen, are true 120hz. So, just make sure they've got bright colors, deep blacks, all the connections you want, and just pull the trigger.

The best advice I got was to buy the size you want. Do not buy one a bit smaller to save money - buy the size you want. The biggest reason new tv owners are dissatisfied is because they underbought when it came to size.

Keep in mind that with any tv over 40" or so, you'll need to sit at least 1.5 times the diagonal measured distance away, so measure the room. For example, with my 55" tv, the optimal viewing distance is at least 82.5" or more than 6.8 feet. Get as big as you want, but not so big that it feels like you're in the front row at the movies, depending on where you want to sit.

But any upper-echelon model from Samsung, Sony, or LG should do you right, although you're gonna overpay for 4k right now. If you wait a year, those 4k tvs will come down dramatically.

Also, studies show that a good brand, high quality 1080p tv will look better than a middling-brand 4k. Buy a good brand with good online reviews, buy the size you want, and just pull the trigger.

I've just always had good luck with Sonys relative to their longevity. They just work.

I'm going, but not to the game. I think a group of us are watching it at a bar downtown near the stadium

I will wake up, watch Gameday in my living room, have a few drinks, watch the first few games, drive 0.9 miles to Brookhaven MARTA, MARTA to the Benz and get ready to whip arse.

Pretty much my exact plans. Brookhaven MARTA and all lol

Believe I'm sitting on the 50 about 20 rows up.

Believe my tickets are identical to yours except on the Bama side. My friends who are season ticket holders have sent me tons of pics/vids from the new stadium. Couldn't be more excited to experience this. Went to the Peach Bowl so will be interesting to see the differences from what I memba'.
