If you aren't aware, sometime in the last year or so, the Florida DMV allowed a proposal for out of state school license plates to go forward. They approved potential plates for Alabama, Auburn, and Georgia with the caveat that they must sell 4,000 vouchers per school by October 2023 for the plate to be produced. As of July 2022, Alabama fans had bought roughly 2,000 vouchers. If the 4,000 is not reached, the tag will be canceled.

Your tag does NOT have to be due for renewal for you to purchase a voucher. You can buy a voucher any time via the link provided and when the tag is produced, you will be contacted by your county Tax Collector to receive your tag. Part of the proceeds will be given to the Pensacola Bama Club (a National Alumni chapter) who will use it to fund scholarships for Bama bound Florida kids. The vouchers are only $33. Thanks for your help, y'all. I've already purchased mine (since my Bama student daughter got my personalized tag for Bama on her vehicle) and so have my family member.

Let's get this proposal over the goal line and score one for Bama and show our love for the Tide at the same time.

Tag It Bama!

Looks a lot like the state of Alabama University tag.
We should be able to get this.

According to the FAQs pdf in your link, only 3000 need to be sold... and by October 15th, 2024. Here's a pic of the sample.

I'm gonna swing by my local tag agency this week and give them my money. I definitely appreciate the heads up

Moar, my understanding is some of that info in the FAQs was from when the program was first approved and the info wasn’t readily available and therefore some errors were posted. I spoke directly with my county tax collector’s office and they told me the number was 4,000 and we were around halfway there. As far as the deadline, you may be correct, I am uncertain on that part.
