Yeah. Kind of like 2016 when Pruitt was completely inept against Freeze and Dabo.

No sir. Our offense sucked balls in that game. We didn’t lose to Ole Miss in 2016.

Lets just look at Georgia this year. Just before Florida, they limited Kentucky to 3 points. Then Trask torched them for 470 and 4 TDs. When a team has a grest QB, great receivers, and a good play caller like Mullen, they will score on just about anyone.

This. The days of holding everybody on your schedule to 13 points are over.

We could have Pruitt back at DC and Kirby coaching DBs and still get torched a few times per year.

Offenses are too good and defenses are handicapped by ticky tack penalties.

Agreed. But I don't think the expectation of holding everybody under 40, and holding the good but not great offenses under 25 or so, is an unreasonable thing to ask for.

Looks at the schedule. Pretty much did just that. Even the great offensive teams got 40.

I said under 40. Ole Miss got 48, and UF got 46, both over 40.

My biggest gripe(s) with Goldie are the choice to rush immobile QBs with 3, and get zero pressure on the QB, while our ILBs and Safety’s have gotten roasted all year. The Delayed Blitz from 6 yards beyond the LOS is also infuriating. But the biggest thing for me that shows Golding doesn’t “have it,” is the inability to fix the mismatches other teams present us as the game goes on. I don’t know if it’s him or Saban, but they continue to let the same mismatches kill them all game without tinkering the game plan to help out struggling players.

Last night, someone pointed out how often we were in nickel and should have just played Dime because we didn’t have enough speed on the field. Yet we kept playing nickel and getting torched.

I won’t be sad when/if Moses and Golding move on. I hate to say that, but this defense will be only good as those guys allow it to be - which I don’t think can ever be “good.”

Dude. Ole Miss and Florida are some of the best offensive teams in the nation. They will get their points. We held the ok or bad offensive teams in the 20’s. Good offensive teams will score points it is just the way the game plays right now. So, yes I think it is unreasonable to have the expectation. Both teams probably spent more time scheming for Alabama than the teams they were scheduled to play.
