Out-coached and outplayed in all phases. Ryan was the only bright spot and he had 2 drops.
You’d think we’d have a better plan with Mercer last week.

Yep they installed the entire Vanderbilt offense in 10 business days, knowing full well it wouldn’t be stopped, and just made sure Milroe designed runs had zero chance.

BV is one of the best D coaches in college FB when he knows what is coming. Sometimes he knew what was coming because of knowing the signs the other team was using. In this case, he knew that Miroe could only do 2 things. He took away the called QB run and used his D-line to keep Milroe in the pocket and sent blitzes from different places knowing Milroe cold not read what was going to happen.
When Milroe gets happy feet his poor footwork get worse and his passes do not hit windows or lead WR's to open spots. Take away called QB runs and put pressure at his feet...all the offense has left is the read option and counter. The mush rush kills the counter at least 50% of the time and a QB who cannot read the D kills the read option.
BV had 2 weeks to watch what UGA did in the second half. Watch what Vandy and UTk did to Milroe. He took what those 3 teams did and taught his D how to do it even better for 2 weeks.
As an OC facing that with a QB that can only do what the DC took away, there is nothing he can do to "make adjustments". The games where Milroe played well, the OC had two weeks to teach and drill him on what to do. Any time that a team schemed to stop him before the game or adjusted to stop him at halftime, there was nothing the OC could do to adjust the plan on the fly because Milroe cannot execute changes without extended time to somewhat learn what he needs to do or see.

Milroe sucks obviously, but this coaching staff is bottom of the barrel. Starting to think Deboer was the only one we could get to say yes.
