Pruitt has pretty much proven that he has no business being a head coach at a major program.

Look at Kiffin though. He stunk at Tenn and USC, but look at him now. One of the hottest names in the business. Coaches take time to develop and I think Pruitt could be the same way. I think over time he could be a very good HC if he gets a chance.

GTFO with that noise. Kiffin was at Tennessee ONE season! His team was competitive in every game and were a Mount Cody FG block away from beating the eventual national champion in BDS. At SoCal he was playing with severe scholarship limitations pertaining to the Reggie Bush fiasco. So your assertion that Kiffin is underwhelming as a HC doesn't hold up under closer analysis.

I can't believe you are basing your view of Kiffin at Tenn on one game. Kiffin was 7-6 at Tenn. SO try explaining away the other 5 losses. LINK

Lets not forget his off field antics. He is one of the only coaches Saban fired a few days before a national title game.

At USC, Kiffin only lasted five games into the 2013 season, coaching his team — which ultimately finished 10-4 — to a 3-2 start to the season. That included an 0-2 start in Pac-12 play. The final straw was a 61-42 loss to Arizona State that gave Kiffin a 4-7 record in his last 11 games. Once his team returned home from Tempe, Ariz., Kiffin was pulled off the team bus at Los Angeles International Airport at 3 a.m. on Sept. 28. He was taken to a small room in the terminal and informed by athletic director Pat Haden that he had been fired. Kiffin wound up at Florida Atlantic trying to rehab his name for 2 years before Ole Miss took a chance on him. So Kiffin has had to do a LOT of growing up to get to where he is. Coaching is more than just a W-L record.
