So Ridley and Stewart had really good days. Foster and Dieter as well. Kief made his catches nothing crazy but solid. Diggs worked at WR and safety again and TJ Simmons had a magical catch over the middle it's like his arms grew 8 feet when he caught it.

I'm all for getting Deiter playing time and a lot but I think Robert Foster is the best receiver we have. I am a huge Ridley fan, but foster is faster and more physical than Ridley. I get Stewart is the best blocker of the bunch, but I just can't see Foster not starting.

So what's to discuss? Bateman is still squatting to pee in the pocket, BB8 has seemingly hit his ceiling (thinking about his surfer?) and Hurts moved the offense down the field against our defense...let that sink in. He threw a pick in the end zone as time expired during his two minute drill. That's not a bad pick, that's trying to make something happen and it's understandable. We're not winning shite with the other two, throw the freshman out there and let him learn.

Barnett has sounded like he is the most accurate out of everyone and has made the best decisions. Hurts has ran the best, has the best deep ball, and has made the big plays with a few mistakes. Bateman sounds like he's made the most mistakes and has sucked donkey dick.

I think it's Barnett vs Hurts. I wouldn't be against Barnett starting and hurts coming in and running a different offense when we needed a spark.

Very interesting info about the QB situation. Hard to believe that we have a strong chance of a TF starting at Bama.

Boz, tell me how the DL looked. Our aggressiveness on D is predicated on how much pressure the D can put on the QB up front.

Also, how much would Gussie pay for Jalen right now?

How has Barnett sounded the most accurate? They didn't provide any stats.

How much of the action with the 1s would you say Hurts is getting? Or how much of his reps are against the 1s?

Just curious since we don't get to hear very much about which QB is getting more 1s v 1s action

Yeah Foster had a ton of catches, I think we will see a whole lot of him and he will separate by mid season. Dieter to me is a situation guy but man can he get open. It's like they don't try against him or something.

DL looked great we have so much talent they just kept rotating guys and our new guys Davis and King look good. Davis took reps with the 1's. Payne has slimmed up a bit and added more muscle is an absolute force in the middle. Pruitt had said Miller was alittle bit of a puss but worked on him and he now looks great as a 3rd down rusher like Tim used to be. All in all we look great on D.

So this is kind of hard to say , people will tell you they all got equal looks. I tend to believe that but they switched the def so much, it was like every other play. Very confusing at times. They all played with the 1's some. IMO and that of a few others hurts moved the 1's with ease. But again I think if Bateman struggles again next Saturday we will have a real discussion about someone else.

CrimsonBoz,

If you had to grade the 3 QBs on their play with a 0-100 scale like our old grade school report cards, what grade would you give each QB on their performance Saturday?

Boz, my concerns aren't really with the QB as they are with the front 7. Our LB corps is elite, but I'm concerned about the DL. We lost 3 really great players in Devall, Robinson and Reed. Has guys like Frazier improved enough to come in on rotation and we not see a drop off in talent?

Saban mentioned that Frazier has improved and has worked at nose and at 5 technique. We need him to be a contributor on the DL. We still need one more guy to step in and play some on the DL. Dakota Ball has been mentioned by the staff as a guy who could contribute. He could be like a nick gentry type player.

I see what you want to do but, I can't answer that question considering the rules of scrimmages. We can talk offline but it won't be posted on this forum.

Let me start by saying I don't care who starts, wins are important so with that:

Bateman: 70

Barnett: 80

Hurts: 89

I think we have plenty of talent in the front seven honestly. Having Evans kind of plugs if someone gets hurt at the ILB and we have a ton of young guys who IMO can play early, Davis being one. Frazier is getting there, way better than he was. I think he was just a blob before.
