He didn't throw to Ruggs deep earlier because there was a high safety there, so he threw it perfectly to Foster for a first down, and he dropped it.
What the frick is wrong with you people?
Amen!

I have no idea what these people are even thinking. Jalen is playing great. Two dropped passes by two veteran receivers is unacceptable not hurts not taking a risky deep. The run game has been fire why would we do anything else?

I think many of these people forgot to his the sarcasm button regarding Hurts.

It is just stereotypical Bama fans.
"They need to run tha damned bawl pawwlllll"
Bama runs the ball right down Vandy's throat with ease.
"Jalen needs to do more Pawwwllll"

Ridley dropped a touchdown pass earlier too.

I will gladly defend Jalen like crazy normally. Just think he isn't having a great game and has missed on a decent number of throws.

Or you know that we can clearly run all over them, so how about we get some more reps for our young QB

Here's the halftime challenge - list them. I can think of only two.

Jalen hasn't been as accurate as he could be, but he's doing fine. Made I think three throws in the middle that were catches.

It’s not been just one bad throw. Not progressing through his reads. Bad throw to wide open Ridley. Being too scared to make the tight throws. Kids a baller for sure but his passing is still lacking. Whether it be because of coaching or all on Jalen who knows.

I mean I can think of more than twice where he bailed out of the pocket super early when it wasn't needed.

I told folks on here Jalen won't reach his full potential until his junion year and that his soph will be a mixed bag.

You mean something like throwing 6 passes on the last possession of the half when we'd only thrown 9 up to that point?
Just checking 'cause that's exactly what we did.

This board gets so annoying with Jalen. Any criticism of his game gets treated with such shock.

Yeah when you go back and watch AJ's progression it was crazy the difference from year 1 to 3. My only point was I don't think he's been all that good today and wish he'd hang in the pocket to try to make some throws with this lead.

If I was grading Hurts, it would be a solid B. If he can do that every game, we'll be damn good

And I've seen several plays where he floated around in the pocked for a very long time when there was nothing but green grass in front of him.
IMO, he's playing pretty danged good and I bet Saban agrees.

We aren't asking him to be Tom Brady but I don't think it's asking much four games into the season to connect on a couple of deep throws.

One throw a little behind 3 in the end zone and that last one. Other than those two he's been pretty dang accurate. On that one deep overthrow, the receiver got hung up or slowed up for a bit at about the time he released it. He's playing well today, iyam.
