You can only lose so many mid-week games, then it starts impacting any good done in SEC play. I want to be wrong, but this is just another 30 something win team that will flame out in a regional at a ACC host.

I think it is several things.
(1) The midweek starters are obviously not as good as the weekend guys. That is not necessarily bad considering we have one of the best group of weekend starters in the SEC. The interesting thing is Jon Keller getting hit so badly last night. He had been really good this year.
(2) We seem to not have a lot of energy in these games.
(3) We can't blame it all on the pitchers. The offense has scored a grand total of 3 runs in the last 3 midweek games.
(4) We are struggling to find a 4th starter. Mike Oczypok has not been very good. I think Jon Keller is are 4th starter(and not a bad one at that).I think he was just off last night. He is normally pretty good.

We play a Thursday-Saturday series vs Georgia this weekend.

Thursday: UA - Geoffrey Bramblett (Jr., RHP) vs. UGA - Kevin Smith (Fr., LHP)
Friday: UA - Jake Walters (So., RHP) vs. UGA - Robert Tyler (Jr., RHP)
Saturday: UA - Nick Eicholtz (Jr., RHP) vs. UGA - TBA
All three games are on SEC Network. Thursday and Friday's games are at 6:00 p.m. CT and Saturday's game is at 11:00 a.m. CT.

This is that point in the season where we go off the deep end. Then find enough confidence in late April and May to make a regional.
