We'd already be on a new coach, had we hired Bobby Pierce against Wells wishes. He retired not too long along at Troy.
If Gaspard doesn't turn it around, I hope we make a major run at higher profile candidates first. Alabama has shown the willingness to support the program finacially.

Dan McDonnell at Louisville is my first call. Several in the ACC I would at least hear a "no" from, before hiring another "up and comer" from a directional school.

ACC is a power BB conference. Why would they leave. The state of Alabama is at a natural competitive disadvantage as a lot of our fellow SEC schools have states that have the hope scholarships. This is huge when BB only has a total of about 11.5 scholarships to give and they have about 25-30 on the team. Great up and comers will have to take this into consideration when teams come calling.

Great game all around today. Bramblett was great as usual and the bats finally showed up. Haynie looks to be getting better at the plate which helps a lot.
