The RG and RT positions on the OL look bad and need major improvement. We tried running to the right side multiple times in a row and got stuffed. What are our options?

u don't watch much do you? Our RT and LT are the strength of the Oline. Right now our LG, C and RG are the weaknesses. Our weakness starts with our QB who cant spread the D and therefore they are going to have more D in the box that our Oline can block. If we can go vertical, which right now we cant, then the oline would look better.

The center position is a given since we are dealing with an injury but the right side of the line had zero push yesterday. We had 66 rushing yards against Arkansas. The best player on the OL right now is a true freshman at LT.

our 4 weeks I heard and had some kind of surgery. I have not heard but most of the time you would think it was the meniscus. Most that have this are usually out longer then 4 weeks but it could have been a very minor tear

again back to my point if they have more then our oline can block then we are not going to get much push anywhere

Understood. Its just frustrating how poor our run blocking has been. You might be right about the RT being a positive aspect of the OL but yesterday the right side folded like a chair. Do we have any other realistic options at RG?

Dom Jackson but as NS would say if we have someone better then who we are playing then they would be on the field. Dom as a JUCO was suppse to be penciled in as a started. IF Kelley can get back then 75 could move over to RG

Missing Grant Hill hurts too. I think we just have to bite the bullet we have what we have.

People have been saying this a lot. I'm not sure I buy it though. Arkansas didn't seem to be regularly loading the box. The interior offensive line just got destroyed by a pretty average Arkansas front.

ARK had two DE's that will be in the NFL. I am not sure I would call them average. They wrecked havoc. Bama wanted both of them. Their LB's were close to the line of scrimmage on most plays that were not 2 or 3rd and long.

I'm hoping that getting back in Tuscaloosa will give the new patchwork line some opportunity to gel with one another. We need the center to quit low snapping the ball out of shotgun or just start running plays from under center because it kills our first read opportunities on the pass plays.

Yeah Im hoping the OL gets better as the season progresses... the problem is we are entering the toughest part of our season.

the last 2 teams have exposed our QB play. look how ineffective Coop has been the last 2 games. Unless we can stretch it vertically both Ole mrs. and ARK have shown the rest of the SEC how to play us defensively

Can we please re-hire Jeff Stoutland? Cristobal recruits well but the development has been pretty meh

ETA: Yes, Pendry is who I meant.

Seriously, Pendry is the man and we need him. Give him $1,000,000 for all I care at this point.

Agree 100%. And it was that way vs Ole Miss too. They can't create holes in the run game. C-Rob is our best OL, followed by Ryan Kelly at Center, and Kelly is out right now with an injury.

We need Dom Jackson on the field.

He recruits well according to the rec services. Pendry, i think, was able to see the potential in the 2-3 stars and develop them to NFL level.
