84 and 85 were surreal
Spot on.
There's been a lot of memorable ones, but similarly I'll never forget those Bo Jackson games and the Van Tiffin field goal either.
Can still see certain plays and people reacting in my mind, almost 40 years later. Crazy.

AU kicker McGinty transferred to Florida and beat Auburn with a kick in 1986.
I had forgotten that!

I go back to “Punt Bama Punt”… which sucked!
As far as upsetting the auturds.. it hasn’t happened much. We are usually favored.
Obviously 84 was awesome! First time beating them since Coach died.
1990 was pretty special, they had beaten us 4 in a row!

1990 was awesome. I had to go through jr. & high school during the 4 game losing streak which seemed like forever at that age. It felt like we would never beat auburn again.
I still remember the game…defense had numerous big plays and stops. Phillip Doyle made clutch kicks.
Ps. My first Iron Bowl in person was 92. My first year at Bama. Not an upset, but that game was tense going into the game knowing that the barn could end our undefeated season. I remember a sack late in the game that knocked Stan White out of the game. The Sun was going down and my part of the stadium was in the shade, but sun was still shining on spot of the field where Stan White was laying. I can still remember the image of him laying motionless on the field in the sunlight.
PSs. Had to watch highlights of 92 game. Couple of screen grabs from the play above.

Yep, being a child of the Shula Era, it's painful to admit:
"The Iron Bowl Rivalry is one where the better Bama teams usually wins and the better Auburn teams nearly always win."
When Auburn genuinely has the upper hand on us, they rarely blink.
