I think you are pissed at the numbers. I get what you're saying and I agree. It is great with the Julio's and Marcell Darius, AJ's stay to play for the home team, but we are not a large state with an immense population. Alabama has a little over 5 million people. Atlanta alone has over 6 million and the state of Georgia a little over 10 million. Florida has 21 million. Look at your talent pools and then make that gripe.

Which has never stopped us from having home grown players on the depth chart. That 1992 national championship team had the following starters/major contributors on offense from the state of Alabama:

Jay Barker
Sherman Williams
Chris Anderson
Martin Houston
Tarrant Lynch
David Palmer
Tobie Sheils
George Wilson
Roosevelt Patterson

And that was back when the state's population was a million fewer than it is in 2023.

Bama should only recruit within the confines of Tuscaloosa County. This crap of getting kids from Trussville or Pinson needs to stop.
